Great location for walking to Chaya district, the castle and the big garden. The baths were lovely and the breakfast was great!

Great hotel. The location was perfect for our stay in Kanazawa. It was right next to the Kanazawa castle park and the main Kenrokuen gardens, both of which were must see places! It was also a short walk to the Omicho Fish market, which was probably the best market we visited in all of Japan, and one of our favorite places to eat. The room was comfortable and clean. Typical of what you’ll find there. The beds are a bit hard but that is consistent across all of Japan.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay, near very nice parks and great breakfast.

Very elegant, nice Onsen, excellent location

Lovely classic hotel. With magnificent park next door. Enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was a little underwhelming and foreign.

From the description on Expedia, we were expecting a luxurious hotel with a quaint traditional style. Instead we got a hotel that was conceived in the 1980's, and never really progressed further. The dining was exorbitantly expensive for average food incorrectly called japanese nouvelle cuisine. The rooms were spanse but clean, and the spa basic and clean.

Excellent location and value! Right next to the castle and Kenroku-en, the hotel couldn't be better situated for seeing the sights of Kanazawa. Really unique style and rooms. We booked a junior suite, which due to the layout with the divider in the middle wasn't as spacious or practical as we were expecting, but for the value we got it for, no complaints at all (we're only two people, so in future would probably not have booked a junior suite again). For a one or two night stay to see the sights of Kanazawa, this hotel is perfect.

Good position for sightseeing in Kanazawa. Not very close to the rail station ( but this was not a problem to us). Lovely spacious room

Beautiful hotel right next to Kenroku-en.

Amazing location. Not modern but incredibly good. Comfortable beds, great onsen, tiny details like a fridge full of Yakults, included minibar beverages, a piano bar, and an unbeatable location make this one of the best value hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

Great location and hotel. You should improve the WiFi

It was a pretty average japanese style room. Not worth the price in my opinion. Nothing bad to say about the place, but nothing outstanding either.

Room was large, receptionists were helpful in booking restaurants for us. Well located, next to castle and garden and walkable to omicho market and geisha district. Hotel however looks a bit dated. The onsen facilities whilst adequate needs to be refresh, very worn out.

The hotel was terrific, perfectly situated near the castle, gardens, Samurai district and Geisha / Geiko district. The staff was so helpful with making reservations for dinner, getting taxi, etc. Breakfast had wide variety too.

Good location

Definitely not a 4 star hotel as advertised. Facilities, common areas and rooms outdated compared to other 4 star hotels. Cleanliness questionable at times considering the country tradition.
