Nice location, comfortable room

Beautiful property. Incredible location with perfect access to all of Old Lyon. I will stay here again, just wish there was a fridge in the room but other than that, it is a neat perfect hotel for our family of 4.

This is a beautiful hotel, with much character! The rooms were comfortable and we appreciated having access to a water dispenser. The location was great, with many restaurants and shops with walking distance, as well as easy access to public transportation. Unfortunately, we visited during a heat wave and the air conditioning was not working, it took a some time for it to get resolved, but in the end it was worked out. Would have liked to have access to a fitness center, but the charm and character of the hotel was worth the trade off.

It was a very nice stay. And the ac was very good in 35 degrees Lyon, the only problem we had was that the door was closed and no one answered the phone when we arrived, but it was solved by calling the reception. Very nice hotel

Et sjarmerende hotell perfekt beliggende i gamlebyen. Store og innholdsrike rom (familiesuite). Moderne bad og wc. Opprinnelig bygd i 1406. Delvis litt kummerlige forhold for frokost. Heis. En rekke severdigheter innen rekkevidde. Anbefalt: musee Gallo-Romains, musee des Confluances, Notre-Dame de Fouviere og City Tour med dobbeltdekker buss. God tilgjengelighet til flyplass. Byen er vel verd en reise! .

Great size and beautiful room

As advertised. Great location. Clean room. Historic building. Wish it had a mini fridge but cold water available in lobby.

This wonderful hotel features both a GREAT location and historical ambience. I hate picking on them about running out of shower caps to enjoy their magnificent rain showers, I should have remembered my own. This was a fantastic experience and we loved this hotel.

The Académie Hôtel Lyon was a excellent stay. Good central location. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was delicious and eating out front in the morning was a beautiful setting. Would visit again when in the area.

Room was very clean and roomy. It’s a very old building and there are rooms that have no windows though. That’s fine if there is a significant price difference but not good for a multi-night stay. Best to call in advance to try to get one of the couple of rooms that have windows. It’s also perfectly located just outside the old city. Easy walk to everything.

Our hotel room was amazing! We got a double room for our family and it was so spacious and beautiful! The original elements of the building are preserved and are like going back in time, but with the modern updates blended that feel very clean and nice. Loved reading about the history of the building and seeing the architecture. The elevator was super convenient. Everything was walkable

This hotel was built in the 1400s and is of historical significance. It is a beautiful place to stay. The staff is very friendly and all of the room amenities were excellent. We had a suite with two full bathrooms and two bedrooms it was facing the inner courtyard so the room was very quiet. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

The staff was great and very helpful. The breakfast was good too. But the room was so small we couldn't move. And there was no storage. Also, since I have some mobility challenges, the stairs into the room and up to the lift were difficult for me.

Great location to walk all of old town and city center. Room was extremely cozy with ice layout and plenty of space. Very comfortable bedding.

Great location. Quiet but near old town Lyon with great cafes, shopping and bakeries. Near the metro and easy to get to local attractions. Friendly and helpful staff. Charming, adequate, and clean. If you want breakfast order it the evening before. Loved our visit and highly recommend our hotel.

I would not recommend this hotel. It is in a great location and has ac BUT there are no windows to the exterior (window merely looks out into corridor inside building) so room feels like a jail cell. Double bed is actually 2 twins side by side which separate as you move in bed. Room and bathroom very small so hard to move around if traveling with a second person. The check in desk is not well marked and the person who gave us our room key never gave us a code to get back into the building so when we got back at about 23:00, we had no way to get in.

Very unique hotel in heart of old Lyon. Room 101 was very spacious for us and 2 kids with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Kids nicknamed their bathroom the “cave”. Many restaurants in walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel for Lyon star.
