It's true, this property is an older one but that's the reason we booked it, historical. There are on lifts, no air con but the location, the staff and the view from the top room were amazing. Shannon, Roy - the entire team was helpful and approachable. We stayed on two separate occasions in the same vacation and will be back again for sure. Bathrooms were clean and water pressure amazing for an old building. The new renovations for the top floor room was incredible - 360 degree views.

Room, bathroom and bedding were very clean. Room had lovely sea views as it was on the 4th floor. There are no lifts so the hotel might not be suitable for the elderly or disabled. The TV didn't work in our room, we were offered a different room but we refused. We were, however, able to watch TV in an unoccupied room. The staff were friendly but quite often nowhere to be seen. It says on the Expedia website that breakfast is available, but breakfast was never advertised so we ate out. The car park was very small, but the hotel wasn't busy so we had no trouble parking but at busy times it might be a problem. The area where it is located is about a 10 minute walk away from the seafront and uphill, so could be challenging with poor mobility

All staff were very friendly. Nice beer garden. Had attic room with views of sea. Very quiet at night

Absolutely great stay thanks to all the staff I met during my stay - lovely place. Beautiful garden, well appointed location for access to the seafront and the local attractions. My room had everything I needed for a cosy and comfortable night, the shower was easy to operate, warm with good water pressure. The Seaview was a bonus too! Wifi signal was strong, parking was free. 10/10

Great room and very Friendly staff!

No room clean for the 4 days we stayed, musty smell when we arrived ,change of towels only when requested , small bins which filled and wasn't emptied .staff was friendly and helpful but wasn't happy when they would shut the bar early so I drank in a local pub instead for the remainder of my stay.

Very Happy would return without a doubt.

The main areas and room were stained and dirty. The staff were unhelpful.

There were no staff, no reception or front desk person, room had insects and spiders, towels were not clean. Very poor overall. We need refund. Worst stay

The room was beautiful and spotless and the staff were lovely and helpful. It was also very useful to have free parking! The hotel itself could have done with a hoover but I think it was going through some renovations so it's understandable that it wasn't the tidiest!

Needs a major upgrade. Poor heating due hardly being on and with insufficient window insulation. In fact sash windows can’t close so top of one window was stuffed with tissue. Had to improvise with a towel as the gap in middle needed blocking! General plumbing needs replacing as the smell wasn’t good and outside in the general area had air fresheners all over. Stairs and general decor is in poor condition. Big mistake not reading previous reviews 😡

It was an adequate stay for the price. The car park was full but there was a car park nearby.

Welcoming host clean room comfortable beds

It is in dire need of a refurbishment. The walls need re-painting. New furniture is needed. I had a wardrobe where one of the doors was non existent because it was broken & a broken leg on a stool. The wind was very strong & blowing through the windows. I wouldn’t recommend this property.

The general area around the hotel was old and a bit untidy. St Leonard's itself is not a great location for travellers. Our room was large and OK but the hotel was a bit rundown. Breakfast was only available on the week-end.

The property was of a poor standard for the cost of the room. No washing products were in the bathroom. The toilet flush was broken. The window vibrated when you moved in the room.

Could really do with some repairs and more attention to detail on the cleanliness. Noisy bed frames, creaky floorboards, a horrible damp smell, broken shower door handle, really old and damaged shower head, cracks on walls and the bathroom floor was lifting up. Staff was attentive and the location was ok, but overall not a great stay.

Terrible. Paint falling off the roof. Blinds broken. Carpets dirty and towels stained

Awful & outdated, terrible room, mould in bathroom, dirty windows, flooring unfinished, filthy carpets, dirty stale water left in kettle! Absolutely not worth £80 a night! DO NOT STAY HERE!
