Nice, clean, cozy bed and room, loved the style of the house. The option to use the laundry room is really nice, the view (depending on were your room is located) is great too.

We were very happy with our stay at the Craigmyle. Everything was meticulously clean and very peaceful. The location was perfect for all our walks and it was so very quiet. We will be returning the next time we come to Victoria!

Check in was seamless although at 3:00 pm was later than expected. Very clean rooms. As we live in Victoria and were using our place for visiting family, we did not need breakfast or use your laundry facilities. Would definitely recommend your b&b to others.

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved being so close to the castle.

We stayed here for the night of our wedding and it was perfect. Really affordable, the staff were helpful in letting us drop off our bags early before the wedding, check in was easy. The bed was so comfy and the room was beautiful. The breakfast was easy and filling. 10/10!

Tiny rooms with no space to even put down your bags. Clean and really pretty.

The Craigmyle was such a charming and whimsical spot! The rooms were comfortable and clean and although the walls were quite thin, neighbors were quiet and respectful. The property is in a quiet neighborhood with lots of interesting spots to check out like Craigdarroch Castle and the nearby Government House. It was about a 30 minute walk from downtown Victoria through an area of town that felt very safe. I would absolutely return to this location on a future visit and I would recommend the Craigmyle for anyone who wants to stay in a more quiet, romantic spot outside of the main city center.

Whenever I visit Victoria, I always stay here. It’s nothing fancy or luxury place but I love its atmosphere and vibe. It’s an old building but always very clean and well maintained. Easy to park and not super far from downtown. Also very quiet neighborhood which makes it perfect.

We had a mixed experience. You are ‘welcomed” with signs about the keypad to get in, signs asking guests to “lose your shoes” and inspirational quotes such as “Arrive as strangers, leave as friends.” Unfortunately, this didn’t reflect our experience, as we didn’t meet the people running the property On the positive side, we were allowed an early check-in, which was much appreciated. There is also a large communal lounge and a well-equipped guest kitchen. However, our room was incredibly small - there wasn’t enough space to open our suitcase properly. It was also extremely hot. We knew before arriving there was no air conditioning and that fans were provided, but there were no power sockets to plug it in. And, the only socket we found for charging our phones was in the bathroom. The padded headboard was also covered in plastic, was rather odd. Before our stay, I emailed to ask if my sister and her son could have a twin room rather than a queen bed. Unfortunately, I never received a reply, and they were allocated a single queen bed. Had we known this in advance, we would have chosen alternative accommodation. There also didn’t seem to be anyone readily available to contact or discuss issues with. When we arrived & departed, the only people we saw were two young cleaners. One offered to help with our luggage, but only after we had already carried everything inside ourselves. And they ignored us as we left! Help with luggage although above & beyond would have been lovely.

Lovely inn with lots of charm and character. The room was clean, and the instructions regarding parking and checking in were easy to follow.

It was amazing that the building was right in front of the Castle. That made it easy to find and get out to all the main roads. We were able to walk down to the beach from there . The downtown area is within walking distance also. The breakfast was absolutely delicious for $10, well worth it. The only suggestion was to have fresh coffee out in the living area around 7am as my whole family were early risers. The staff were very helpful even when my husband had to call the night manager when we were separated and I had the key to the unit!! The street parking can be a bit difficult in the evening when also being used by the residents but just drive around the circle and you should find someplace for the night. We had a large truck so was harder to park anywhere in Victoria!!The entire building was wonderfully refurbished and decorated.
