At check-in, I was told that the room category that I had booked was not available and that because I booked online through Hotels.com, there was no redress. I protested, told the desk agent I was a BonVoy Member, to which he responded “not for this stay, you booked through someone else.” I asked him if he would pay 15% more for any purchase such as a hotel room. A room fitting the reservation category was found to be available. There was no need for the pushback. Otherwise, an excellent facility to which I will certainly return.
