I always stay at Hotel Ganesh Himal. Their helpful staff, kind spirit, safe & clean rooms, and prime location is why I keep coming back.

Property was good but the booking process was poor. The hotel hadn't heard of wotif and despite me giving my name three times they couldn't find my booking and then suddenly found it. I booked a double room but only received a single. The hotel itself was clean and quiet with excellent service, the best mattress I've had in Nepal and welcome drink. I'd stay again but not with wotif.

This is an oasis in Kathmandu and I always enjoyed coming back after being out in Thamel for a quiet tea in the garden. I recommend this hotel!

The Hotel Ganesh is wonderful place to stay in Kathmandu. The staff of both the reception and the restaurant were so very gracious and friendly. Clean & quiet rooms, with reliable hot water at any time of day or evening. The beautiful restaurant courtyard was a great place to start and end the day! I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat - an incredible value. About a 10 minute walk from all the restaurants and shops in the Thamel District.

We loved this centrally located hotel - friendly staff, superb rooms, great view from our 6th Floor balcony, good value, and we enjoyed the elevator-free, pre-trekking 74 preparatory steps up to our room. For this kind of money you want to move in for a month. The serving staff at the desk, security, courtyard restaurant staff and cleaning personal were all about friendly, helpful customer service.

An oasis within a dusty area.

Phenomenal hotel. Great value and location, incredibly helpful and friendly staff. The garden out the back is one of the nicest spots in Kathmandu - so relaxing and peaceful, with amazing service.

Wonderful staff, beautiful garden restaurant, peaceful quiet rooftop to practice yoga, comfortable lounging areas. Not one complaint. I will definitely book again if in Kathmandu.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the decor is interesting and quirky, lovely communal areas and garden restaurant.

We have stayed here three times; hope to do it again.

I was disappointed perhaps because I had stayed there ten years before. The hotel has lost its cachet although less so than Kathmandu which is a nearly unbearable crowded polluted city (of course, partly due to last year's quake).

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is quiet yet not far from Thamel.
