Great rooms with door to the outside and small area to sit! Choice of buffet and a la carte restaurants - both excellent quality!

Geeat staff, nice clean hotel and the restaurant was wonderful!

Just perfect all around.

Incredible setting; modern and very clean rooms. Beds are v comfortable and the area is silent; great sleep! Highly recommend including breakfast with your booking - it’s varied and has everything from freshly baked bread to hot cooked items to cold cuts, fruits, cheese, and pastries. Excellent coffee. Property does not provide VIP benefits - no room upgrade or welcome drinks as indicated. We had a beer and house wine and were charged for them. Disappointing but overall a really good stay and value.

Good house wine as a vip treat; in the nighttime was quietly ,also the place is dark enough and spacious to watching the northern lights

Staff was wonderful. Beautiful view from the room. Cleanliness could have been better (stains on sheets, trash left under bed)

Being remote and clean

Room was not very clean, shower gel and shower was empty, coffee sachet was already open, hair is on the floor and in bathroom.

We picked this place for the location on a south coast trip. Definitely pricier than we prefer, but it was nice.

Hotel was fine and restaurant food was good but very expensive. Staff don’t remember to credit our bill for the free drinks included in the rate although I asked them too. Beds were comfortable and shower had hot water which are most important things in a room.

Lovely stay, friendly and warm welcome with a free room upgrade. Clean, great views and home comforts like tea and coffee included. The room had a good balcony and view. Both dinner and breakfast was great. If we are ever return to Iceland we would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Nice quiet hotel with not much around. Restaurant was decent

On the way to jokusarlon, only 1 hour 10 min away.

Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere. There's not much lighting outdoors which is nice because we could see the Northern Lights right above the hotel. The lobby area was really nice but the rooms were made with very cheap materials like a camping trailer. The rooms were nice enough for a one night stay during a road trip. No wash cloths were provided. We liked the tiny patio to step out and view the stars & aurora.

We loved our stay! Had a wonderful dinner and had an amazing night sleep!

Room need renovation

Excellent stay. The reception desk and staff at bar was very friendly. I had my hot chocolate during aurora show with me and it hot cold, the girl at bar happily warmed it up for me. They provide wake up calls for aurora viewing. The rooms have a view. We could see aurora without being in the cold. Super happy with the stay.

I rarely write negative reviews, but this hotel really disappointed. The hallway and our room smelled like septic tank, it was not noticiable when we arrived but during the night it became strong and the following morning was even stronger. There was a lid on the ground just outside of our room (one feet away from the yard door) that seemed to be the tank pipe, the smell probably came from there. The electric kettle had water from the previous guests, which makes you wonder how good they clean the rooms! And on top of that, it was the most expensive stay of our 1-week stay in Iceland! I would not be staying here again :/
