This hotel is truly an underrated gem in Taipei. We had a very cosy and comfortable 4 night-stay on our first trip to Taiwan. What 's there not to love about Royal Rose Hotel? From the super convenient location (we stayed at the branch close to Taipei Main Station) to its helpful and friendly staff to the neat and clean rooms, to the hotel facilities and security-we were very happy that we chose to stay there. You definitely need to sit and have a cuppa at the aesthetic pantry buffet, every snack and drink there was free for hotel guests. We truly appreciated the thoughtfulness of the reception staff in acknowledging that we were Muslims when she reminded us to check the ingredients before consuming the food available. Our rooms were cleaned properly everyday upon request and we loved how convenient it was to wash and dry our clothes at the laundry area which was just next to the hotel pantry. The hotel provides laundry detergent satchets for only NTD10 each. The staff was also kind enough to provide us with a box and tape for us to pack our Taiwanese souvenirs. We booked the business room, which was the cheapest room in the hotel, but we were lucky to be given the corner room which had a window overlooking the quiet Huayin Street. Yes, the room is small as reviewed by others, but it wasn't a problem for me and ny friend. If you're bringing two medium-sized luggages, it will be a bit of a squeeze to open flat both bags, but we managed between the both of us. All in all, Royal Rose Hotel will definitely be on top of our list the next time we travel to Taipei.
