This place was awesome! Felt likemwe were stayimg in a cabin in the mountains! They even have fire pits and grills! Will definitely be back next time were in town!

It was nice and quaint. Close to town. Small breakfast choice at property.

Outside was run down. Room was clean and big. You can hear everything whole in your room. The curtains do not block out sunlight so no sleeping in.

Good value

SUCH a cute place for our stay in Estes Park! Loved the room and the fact that you could see the Rockies from our window. Would stay here again.

Stairs need handrails

We enjoyed Discovery Lodge for many reasons including the hot tub, in room fire place (firewood provided for free), cabin decor, location, parking was easy, we did check out early due to the weather and the staff offered us a refund but unable to get due to Expedia. Nonetheless we were very happy with our stay.

This was my second time staying here, and it’s been amazing both times. The space is clean, thoughtfully simple, and offers breathtaking views. Easily the best deal in Estes Park. Plus, mule deer often wander through the property—perfect for capturing some great photos.

Overall easy and good. The parking lot needs some work but not too bad to get around.

Scenic hotel right in Estes Park made it easy to explore the Stanley and Rocky Mountain National Park. Clean room, comfortable bed and hot tub great too. Standard continental breakfast was appreciated. No check in staff were around at 7pm when we arrived, but all was good once we found the key pick up. Great deal and recommended overall.

Disclaimer update: they did say today once the manager arrived that they would provide us with a discount on rooms, so if that does indeed happen I will be increasing my stars on review. The guy at front desk was very nice. The location and view are fantastic. However, you also get what you pay for. It appears that housekeeping left sliding doors open while cleaning the rooms and birds/geese got into our rooms. We had bird poop on the tub and on duvet cover in one room. They offered to move us to another room, but we had already moved all of our stuff in, so we just cleaned it up with Lysol wipes and handed the duvet cover to them to try to not be difficult. That same room ended up having burnt out light bulbs in the lamps next to the bed. In our room, the TV cable did not work and you could not pick up any Channel. I also realized that night that our duvet cover had a yellow stain on it and also had geese poop prints/they must’ve sat on our bed. Free breakfast is supposed to be from 7 AM to 10 AM and I have been standing here since 7 AM and it is now 7:25 AM and no one still is here. Next time I will shell out the extra money to stay in a Vrbo or better place.

The location is perfect for a quick stay. The rooms were clean but a little dated compared to the pictures... hard to beat for the price. My only compaint was the noise from guest above and next to us. I realize you're going to hear other guests at older places but there appeared to be more than enough vacant rooms to spread guest out instead of putting them all in one section on top and next to each other. Would stay again but would request a room on the 2nd level.
