Summary: Exceeded expectations! I rely heavily on reviews when booking a hotel but on our most recent trip I booked late and it came down to availability of a sufficient room for myself and two teenage kids. I'm not sure if the other reviewers understand the definition of continental breakfast but this was one of the best I've seen. Fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, boiled eggs, granola bars, selection of juices. Something for everyone. I also take advantage of fitness facilities and pools at hotels whether traveling for business or pleasure and the fitness center is well equipped and clean. My only comment there would be to remove the one out of service machine to provide more floor space. The room was clean and spacious and we were all pleased and will recommend to other visiting family and friends.

We are locals who had to move out of our home and into alternate lodging for an extended period. After a few nights at the (awful) Sandman (on Gladwin), we moved to the Coast. So much better! Rooms, linens, cleanliness - all far superior to the other hotel. Despite their error in our reservation resulting in having to relocate to another smaller room, the staff did their best to accommodate us. Special mention to terrific housekeeping staff member Janice who went out of her way to be kind and friendly to us. It was a difficult time, and she made it better.
