We were greeted with great hospitality and room was pleasant.

New Plymouth is pumping !

A very pleasant stay

The location is very convenient for the centre as well as sites just outside like Pukekura Park and Brooklands Park where WOMAD takes place. There was daily housekeeping and the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when i needed to book an extra night.. The room and shared hotel facilities were clean. It doesn't currently have on site cafe/restaurant, but there are a number of really good places within a short walk. It's close to the local bus services and the coastal walk which is a beautiful walk in places. It has a guest laundry which i found useful. The hotel itself despite being close to town, felt quite peaceful and relaxed. I would happily stay again.

Rather not

I booked same day, paid almost $400. Showed up and everything was closed, staff member told me they were booked out yet online it stated there were 4 rooms available, I was told to deal with it on my own, even though I’d just paid towards to hotel. The staff member was probably new because he was absolutely useless lol. They clearly have an issue when it comes to things online, In the future I’d call before booking anything, especially with this hotel

The 2 bedroom suite although it has a good lounge area, the bedrooms have no windows which felt quite unusual. The aircon was very noisey and cold. Would not stay here agin.

Very welcoming and close to City centre. Very handy to visit the lights on foot. Would be good if insight dining was available.

Great location in the CBD easy walk to waterfront, shops, cafes and restaurants...also easy stroll to the park for the Festival of Lights. Bathrooms are a littled dated and showing their age but we're still clean and useable. Beds were comfortable and rooms were a good size. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely three night stay at Distinction. The restaurant was under renovation but no problem as there are so many great food options only a short walk away. Perfect location to walk anywhere in New Plymouth town centre including Pukekura Park and the coastal walkway. Great spacious room (king suite) with a lovely view, comfy bed and good shower. Clean and quiet too. Staff were helpful and there was plenty of parking which was easy even with a big Ute. Will definitely stay again - was also great value for money

Very convenient, I always stayed at the Quest before but this is now my preferred stay when in NP.
