It is a very good and clean castle hotel. The breakfast is excellent

In 2026 I’d have imagined that the supply of gluten free bread/toast and cereals would have been standard. On the second day they had ‘run out’ and could we try ‘something else’. You aren’t Coeliac by choice and when there is nothing else on offer it doesn’t really help. That said when we let them know that Tesco across the road was open they did send someone to get some. Only to be told on the 3rd day that they may have run out! The public areas of the hotel are tired but on the whole it wouldn’t put me off staying again but o would let them know that the GF stuff was more than a nice to have.

Nice place to stay. Bed was horrid but other than that...

The breakfast was lovely, the beds were comfy, the bathroom/tub great. Property could use some updates and a little life. Overall a good place to spend the night.

Fantastic hotel! We stayed there after attending the Gordon Castle Highland Games. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious with every amenity. We really enjoyed our breakfast! Highly recommend!!

Un sejour parfait. Bien trop court tellement nous nous sentionz comme chez nous. Chambres spacieuses et charmantes, personnel agreable er efficace et le petit déjeuner etait parfait ! Le rapport qualité/ prix est incroyable !

Glimrende gratis parkering, veldig hjelpsomme og trivelige drivere/eiere. Kokken (i tårnet) er en flink kokk, og en meget trivelig serviceminded kar. Vi forespurte om vi kunne sitte i uteområdet å spise medbrakt lunch med vin/øl , det var ikke noe problem, kokken hentet tilogmed bestikk og glass tallerkener til oss og rydda bort etterpå. Fantastisk herskapelig hus, dog lit slitent, men har enorm sjarme. Vi er veldig takknemlig for den goe gjestfrihet og topp service. Anbefaler sterkt. Bittelitt minus at det ikke er restaurant der, men baren er helt ok. Thumbs up 👍👍

Breakfast was lovely and the waitress was amazing!

Good for a base, very helpful and friendly staff. Room clean and spacious, comfy bed and pillows, slept very well. Fabulous breakfast, hot food cooked to order. Overall a great stay.

Room was very comfortable. Unfortunately there was no dinner offerings at the hotel.

The sleigh bed and size of the bed was nice. It can be hard to find this in Scotland. I wouldn’t say Elgin was our favorite spot in our 2 weeks in Scotland, and this hotel was average with a cool old feel. The breakfast was nice. The shower and room a little outdated but suited our needs for one night. Probably not a spot I would stay for more than one night. Parking was easy, check in was easy.

Stately property, good choices for breakfast, limited parking, my four poster bed had a tear in the top drape, which let in substantial amount of dust mites when I’m in bed.

Massive room & good check out time the next day

Really cool place to stay and the breakfast was great. They had the normal grab and go stuff and a hot breakfast included in the price. They even made sure to ask if I was vegan or not. It’s the first hotel I’ve staying in a while where the room had a bed and pillows that were perfect, a shower that was perfect, and actual tv channels so we could watch a movie at night. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

There was a drip from the upstairs shower when the guest was using it. A bad smell of damp in the room. Overall, not an enjoyable experience
