We had a lovely stay at the Stone Maiden Inn. It’s in a great location, within easy walking distance of downtown Stratford and the Festival theatres, so we hardly needed the car. The staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful, and the inn itself was charming and comfortable. We’d happily stay here again.

We asked to be accomodating at 2pm due to thunderstorm. Absolutely not possible we received. I had 2 room booking, but not even 1 room. We find out the property had 2 amenity room.

If you’d like to step back in time but still enjoy modern day amenities, this is the place for you. This establishment has been operating as an Inn since 1905! The proprietor, Tim is warm and welcoming; your accommodation is walking distance to shops and restaurants. We had a super time and we’ll be back.

A good location, helpful Inn keeper, quite dated and in need of updates.

One of the hottest summer days and the AC kept us cool, even in attic floors. Beds very comfy, very clean. Recommend to serve pastries as advertised with the morning coffee to welcome your guests to a new day. On site fridge and freezer a bonus for road travellers needing to keep things cool. Would recommend particularly for those who don’t mind a walk of five minutes or so to all shops and restaurants on the main strip,very close to the river, but a further trek to Festival theatre than anticipated 20-25 minute walk at a slow pace…very doable and very nice after dinner for a Avon river walk to the show. Great host kind, funny and helpful!

Air conditioning was good the room was clean parking could be better for a larger vehicle..

Recommend decaf coffee on main floor. Appreciated decaf upstairs.

Location was convenient for walking

Warmly greeted by staff. Our room was the top floor room. It was tired and could use some repair but clean and quiet. Coffee was provided in the morning. Parking ample

Great location. Easy to walk to downtown and theatres. Issues with plumbing caused a backup in the shower and toilet during the night. After ringing the proprietor several times in the morning and waiting it was repaired.

Location is suberb - just a bit away from the main hubbub, and a 10 minute walk away to many things. Comfortable, clean, smooth check in, free & seamless parking, and great coffee

What a lovely establishment! Tim was extremely friendly & helpful. The property was so picturesque and enchanting. Can’t wait to visit again!

The building has a kind of shabby charm that worked for us. It was clean enough. The location is excellent if you want to be about a 20-30 min walk to the theatres.

While the Inn itself was quite charming, there were hiccups. We are two women travelling together on a theatre trip, who reserved and paid for two separate rooms a month in advance. We were on a tight schedule (we arrived after matinee of a play, with just enough time to check in, dump our bags, freshen up and head for our early dinner reservations before taking in an evening performance). When we arrived, we discovered someone else in one of the rooms we had reserved. What followed was disconcertingly like a French farce, as two other women had the same problem.

Good accommodation. But in the tea/coffee area, both the milk and cream turned bad. There's also no hot water for the tea. Bummer.

What a lovely historical inn! Restored where it counted, and modernized where it needed. Note: there are no elevators, so be prepared for stairs if you're booked on the second or third floors. Also: there is no reception on site, so pay attention to the check-in details sent to you by the owner.

The owners are really nice. The location is good. The street is quiet. The room was clean with air conditioning. There is plenty of parking. It is beside a train track but it never went passed when we were there. We were told it only passes by once in the morning between 8-9 and once in the afternoon between 5-6.

Lovely old inn. Note - there is no elevator and the stairs can be a bit intimidating. Excellent service. The coffee in the morning is excellent.
