Shake Caye is amazing......hands down the best place for tranquility, peace, privacy, unmatched service, delicious food, beautiful rooms, and I could go on and on. From the captain Andre, that's that man, to Rod the bartender, Percy who goes everywhere, Daisy and Glenda who cater to any needs, to all of the staff behind the scenes, you cannot ask for a better staff at a resort! Thank you to All of the Shaka Caye team for the best trip my wife and I have ever had. We will be back and I'd suggest to anyone looking at a smaller all inclusive resort....choose Shaka Caye!!!!

This place is a gem! The thoughtful service was above and beyond. The island sits on average a 30 minute boat ride off the coast. Lots of available activities both in the water and on the mainland. There are only a few units on property so it’s very low key. Gorgeous views and a private lagoon with mangroves. Dolphins, iguanas and sting rays are all over and it’s only a mile or so from the barrier reef with untold wildlife. Daisy is the main point of contact. She is quick to respond with any needs. The bar was somewhat limited on the all inclusive package. Basically rum and beer with other options available as a pay per drink premium. Definitely would recommend and we’ll visit again in the future.

Very single staff member truly made us feel important. Best customer service we experienced at any all inclusive resort we’ve visited. Housekeeping would find us on the island to make sure that we were ok with them cleaning our room at that time. Room was always very clean. Bartenders and restaurant staff went above and beyond every day.

Shaka Caye (pronounced “Key” for the ignorant to proper pronunciation like myself), was absolute paradise. My wife and I had an amazing vacation. Whether you go just to relax on the beach like we did or want to plan as many excursions as possible, there really is something for everyone. The staff are all so kind and helpful. The chef was amazing. Special shoutout to Daisy, Percy, Roddy, and Michael who were there for most of, if not all, of our stay, It’s A+ service, minimal thinking required, just sit back and enjoy. We will definitely come back.

The most beautiful and relaxing spot. The staff were fantastic, so kind and accommodating on everything. We had the most wonderful and refreshing stay. We were in shock coming back to the real word after this magical experience.

One of the best vacations I’ve ever had! Shaka Caye is the perfect place for peace, quiet, and being completely pampered. From personalized service and incredible excursions to amazing food and stunning sunsets, everything was exceptional. Special thanks to Percy, Glenda, Andres, Kelsey, Jessie, Michael, Edwin, and the wonderful massage therapist. Truly unforgettable!

Greatest vacation, awesome seclusion, attentive staff!

Our stay was fantastic! From the moment you step off the boat, the staff are outstanding. Bright smiles, call you by name, meet every need and go way beyond a visitor's expectations. The food is fresh, the rooms are clean, plenty of kayaks and paddle boards to use. You can't truly appreciate how special this island and resort are until you visit!!!

This place was a dream come true. Amazing food, the staff was excellent, offering service like fine resorts used to do and the location was perfect. Cant say enough good things. Special shout out to Jesse’s who made our trip the best one we have had in years. Sincerely Colby (shark guy)

My stay at this island resort was exactly what I needed! The room was very nice and clean. The staff was incredible, and there were lots of options for excursions for the more adventurous people. I am usually adventurous, but my goal for this trip was solitude and relaxation. This resort gave me just that. The only thing my days revolved around was meals which are brought right to you wherever you want. And the food was fantastic!!! Highly recommend this resort. Be prepared for mosquitos and sand flies! I got eaten alive, but it didn’t bother me much.

Shaka Caye is a hidden gem; if you want to have a non-chaotic, very personalized vacation where the staff treat you like you are the only person on the island, Shaka Caye is the perfect location. The staff know you by name, the rooms are kept very clean, the food was absolutely amazing (I will say that the food might have been my favorite part of the trip!), and you have a beach almost to yourself. The Gold Standard of Belize – A Michelin-Level Private Island Experience! If you are looking for the only place worth staying in Belize, Shaka Caye is it. From the very moment I stepped off the plane, the staff made us feel like royalty. Their attention to detail is truly unmatched; they anticipate your needs before you even have to ask. The culinary experience was the biggest surprise of all. I have dined all over the world, and the food here tasted like I was eating at a 3-star Michelin restaurant. Every meal was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. A special thank you to Glenda and her entire staff. Their warmth and professionalism made our trip feel deeply personal and incredibly special. They don’t just provide a service; they provide a memory. I won't stay anywhere else in Belize from now on. If you are seeking seclusion, this is the place. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We absolutely loved our stay.

My wife and I have just returned from Shaka Caye, and overall, we had a pleasant experience. However, there are a few things to consider before making a reservation. This resort is private, which means you won't have access to certain amenities that you might typically expect. If you're looking to venture off the resort, you can visit Caye Caulker, but be prepared to spend over $200 for just a few hours off the island. While Caye Caulker is quite small, it offers a nice escape if you're seeking a break from the resort's privacy. Again, this is extra. The resort provides three meals daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), but it could benefit from a wider variety of options. More choices for each meal would be appreciated. The bed was somewhat comfortable, but the power does go out for about 30 minutes each day. Additionally, there is a limited selection of snacks in the room (no alcohol included). You will also need to pay extra for premium liquor and wine. Daisy, Percy, and Michael were great staff members. Tipping is encouraged after your stay, typically around 10% of your total bill, in addition to what you have already paid. When we return to Belize, we will likely look for another accommodation option, but overall, it was a decent first experience.
