A great hotel in a perfect location. We wanted a place just outside the centre for more peaceful bedtimes. Right next to the botanical gardens and you have just that here. An Uber to the city averaged £5-6 depending on time of day/demand, and with breakfast included it made staying here made sense: as most city centre hotels don’t include breakfast or parking. But this place includes both. Plus breakfast is from a menu, so it’s fresh and really good ingredients too. Rooms are on the smaller side, but well presented with good storage. Bathroom and shower clean, modern and that was spacious. Issue with EV charger in car park; not fault of hotel and unfortunately couldn’t be resolved with EV charger operator so could not charge whilst there. Would 100% stay again when next visiting daughter at University in Sheffield.

Solo travel usually stay at Jonas hotel next door due to cost, the extra cost wasn’t really worth it for me. Team Jonas hotel!

Not made aware of fan in wardrobe so I didn’t find it til I was about to check out! Also no fresh milk in fridges which was a shame

Halifax Hall is a unique jewell in the area of Sheffield in which it lies. From the beautiful architecture of the building to the peaceful grounds on the Sheffield University, Halifax Hall is a one of a kind experience! The room was cozy and comfortable with all amenities included. The staff were extra kind, friendly, and professional. The restaurant and pub provided outstanding food and service, The complimentary snacks available were very much appreciated. The location was like being set apart from the world .Quiet, beautiful flowing stream, and lovely trees and plants. Nice clean hotel, in (just about) walking distance to the city. Easy, free parking on site. Breakfast included. It was a bit noisy in the morning (7.30am-ish); it was as though barrels were being delivered.

Great location for University and lovely breakfast

This hotel seems to focus more on conference guests than on the overall hotel experience. Bright lights were on day and night, and a cosy atmosphere was completely missing. The staff appeared to serve you in between conference duties rather than providing dedicated service. The outdoor terrace had potential, but it wasn’t used. With a few small touches, this hotel could be a very cosy and pleasant place to stay. As it is now, it felt cold, and simply somewhere to sleep rather than a place where you would want to spend time.

A lovely clean comfortable double room with access to snacks, tea and coffee, fresh milk and treats on every floor. Chilled water was free from reception. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of continental and cooked. All the staff were superb and very helpful. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend all at a reasonable price.

Nice place to stay in the Endcliff area of Sheffield near Uni residences with good breakfast.

Hotel clean & tidy Great room

Perfect gem. I think this property is located one of the best area in Sheffield, in University. Adequate size room. Breakfast is excellent. Continental and made to order hot dishes. Fabulous place.

Loved this place

Excellent stay, we booked two suites absolutely wonderful and the breakfast was lovely as to was the evening meal, only one criticism, they only serve a couple of different draught lager but again all in all 5 *

its very difficult too give a fair judgement because different people have different standards, what I expect, other people may not, the run away in the shower flooded, the bathroom sink dripping and cobwebs on the outside and inside of windows, I don't know about anyone else but I find this disturbing, and I have to say the staff were incredible and really helpful.

we would definitely stay here again comfortable room with some quality touches and we had a great night's sleep. Bathroom facilities were excellent and breakfast was top class with lots of choice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Interesting and understated small hotel in pleasant grounds. The room wasn't massive, but had a very comfortable bed and huge bathroom. Excellent breakfast and really helpful, friendly staff. Parking was fine and the hotel is a 10 minute walk to Sharrow Vale Road and Ecclesall Road, and 5 mins from the Botanical Gardens. Highly recommended.

Good area, a bit of a walk to transport but it’s nice with parks and restaurants nearby. The service level is generally good, the check in experience was a bit awkward, but after that it was all great. There was no AC in the room so not a place to be on a hot day but who stays in their room all day?
