A room with all needed. Very clean, modern inside, safe, good room service, close to Ballarat station. I would recommend the George to anyone.

The staff were lovely and accommodating and the room was very pretty, however, the music from the night club over the road and the people leaving were unbelievably loud until 3:30am, then the drunk people coming into the hotel were knocking on our window then door. Almost no sleep, if I’d known this would happen I would not have booked here.

Had changed from my last stay. Was a bit let down as was looking for a nice stay whilst on business in the area

Quietness. Beautiful linen and towels

Small hotel. 17 rooms. Very quiet. Room was clean. Great heritage building. There was an issue with a leaking roof in the hallway and as a result we had to walk thru a moldy area to get to our room which was unpleasant but once we got to our room the smell was gone. Proximity to shops, restaurants and entertainment was great!

An overall comfortable and enjoyable stay. Room was small but well appointed and very clean. Bed and pillows great, slept well. This is a functioning hotel with live music and functions; there are noise reducing glass doors to separate the hotel rooms but you’ll still be aware of some noise. Check in was quick and easy. Very close to Ballarat railway station and restaurant strips.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel - and believe it or not we have had the same room both times. A lovely hotel with very obliging staff. We will be back.

Great lication and friendly staff

Great historic pub lovingly restored with free hidden parking in the middle of the city with your room booking. Heritage bar and restaurant excellent for dinner as were the inventively clever redesigned accommodation rooms.

For an old Hotel the renovated rooms were excellent. Great location with easy access to shopping precinct.

This is an excellent hotel in central Ballarat. Modern facilties with the charm of an old world hotel.
