What a lovely older hotel. Lots of character. Room was clean and tidy. Bed comfortable. No coffee in the room though. Nice restaurant on the main floor. Service was excellent. It was sweet seeing the friendly hotel cat. Sincerely Heather

A super place to stay for a Merida experience.

Habitación espaciosa, limpia y muy cómoda

Excellent location for restaurants, museums and nightlife. Traditional hotel with lovely courtyard where live music is played Saturday and Sunday mornings. Small pool area but just as lovely. Convenient restaurant on site with 2 for 1 pizza on Tuesday and happy hour M-F from 5 to 8pm. Room was basic and kept very clean by great staff. The only reason I did t give it 5 is that it can be noisy as it is on the cross roads of two very busy streets. We were on a lower floor(we asked for a lower floor in case the elevator did not work) and the noise was very noticeable. Ear plugs do the job. We enjoyed our stay thank you very much for the hospitality.

Room was quite dated, uncomfortable hard bed. Poor water pressure in shower and a musty smell in bathroom. The only good thing about the hotel is the location.

Great location! Poor WIFI

Rooms are tired and walls are thin. Could hear the guy next to us snoring all night. Neighbour had music on so loud they may as well have been in our room. When we first arrived, our room had no running water, then the 1st morning we had no hot water for a shower.

Nos hospedamos del 28 de diciembre al 1 de enero. Nos encantó el hotel, su ubicación, su diseño, las habitaciones cómodas, la atención del personal. Sin duda volvería a hospedarme aquí.

Es la segunda ocasión en que me hospedo en el hotel y me gusta pero creo que hay que renovar cosas como: elevadores, apagadores, enchufes, etc.

Mi estancia fue increíble en Casa del Balam. Me encantó esa combinación de naturaleza y estilo colonial en un hotel. Además, los felicito por su atención, limpieza y accesibilidad. El mejor hotel boutique de Mérida.
