Very convenient to both Goryu snow park and train station. And the friendly owner provides very family-like local services and free pick and drop to park or station which is very helpful. The place is more like a family house. But providing everything a foreign tourist needs. The owner Tomo and Erika are very friendly and speak good English which is very helpful to foreigners. Room is simple but enough for snow skiers. Comfortable and convenient. And the shared dinner room are comfortable and great place for guests and families to enjoy the relaxing time after full day of ski. Owner provides complimentary toys to family and kids which were beyond my expectation. They taught kids to play together with smiles from deep heart. Kids just loved everything. Definitely will come back in future. Thank you Tomo and Erika.

Our stay at Sunny Side Hut was great. It was our first time visiting both Japan & the snow but it was hassle free because of the exceptional service. We (myself & daughter) had a blast. The facilities & location are good. The service is exceptional. Pros: - Exceptional service. The owner couple were willing to drive us to where we wanted to go to make our stay pleasurable. Decent understanding of English & western culture. - Great food. Plenty of variety in provided meals. Good mix of Western & Japanese styles. - Excellent for families. The family that own the place are very welcoming. Plenty of board games & fun to be had. - Rooms are tidy and include housekeeping. - Everything you need to hit the snow. There is a room for snow equipment, a dry room & owner's can assist organise lift tickets & equipment hire. - Private bathrooms! - Plenty of food & services (pharmacy, convenience store etc.) around within walking distance. Some night life also exists. - Great value for money. I almost feel like I should have paid more. Cons: - There are closer places to the snow resorts however there is ample transport & the lifts we received from the owners made this mostly non-issue. - Rooms & bathrooms are a bit small, but I think it's pretty standard for Japanese accommodation.

Erica and Tomo are very friendly and hospital hosts. They offered us transport whenever needed. Tomo happily drove me to Hakuba 47 - a 15 minute drive in heavy snow - to pick up my lost child. For that we are forever grateful. Our stay included breakfast - each day we were treated with a mix of Japanese and western foods. Coffee was nicely brewed. We also stayed for Erica’s yummy, home-made meals during our stay. Will stay with them again if we visit Hakuba in the future.

家族でスキーをする為に宿泊しました。メゾネットのある4人部屋で子供は大喜びでした。ご夫婦で経営されているようで、お二人とも親切に対応して頂きました。白馬47スキー場からは車で5-6分という距離で、リフト券も割引価格で購入出来るので朝から直ぐに滑りに行く事が出来ました。スキーウェアや板の乾燥室もありスキー、ボードの為にはピッタリの宿です。

The owner was very friendly, we arrived at night in the rain and she came out to find us. She also gave us some recommendations for local restaurants.
