I stayed here 10 years ago when it was a Best Western. It has really fallen apart. The rooms are very clean and had no weird smells, but the building is run-down, and it's clear the new ownership has been implementing a LOT of cost-cutting strategies (we got two towels for two people for two days). The only interaction I had after check-in was a male at the front desk who was very unfriendly when I needed a replacement key. The pool looked over a gas station with a homeless guy outside and was gated like a prison; I didn't check if it was open or operational. Only shampoo, no conditioner, in the shower. No USB charging ports. Etc etc...
Basically, unfriendly and no-frills but at least it didn't smell.
