Location is the best advantage of it. No elevator. No air condition. It is long day hours in Paris during the summer.

+: (1) Near to most tourist spots; (2) Very near to Metro and RER, river, café bar (3) Wifi fast (4) Can check-in at 10:00 am (5) Saw live sex trueman show 3/5 nights stay : ) -: (1) Check carefully whether your room has a toilet. In my case, there is a private bathroom BUT the toilet is shared with 4 other rooms (2) The shared toilet is very small. Can't turn your body, you have to close your legs when you do your big business as the width is less than an arm's length. I guess you can imagine the scenario... (3) The tiny toilet is located across the stairs and has no basin to wash your hands. Ie. you have to walk through the stairs to reach the tiny little toilet (4) No air-con/ fan, TV, elevator (5) The bathroom extracting fan connects to the bathroom light while no door for the bathroom. So, w/o air-con and fan, you can (a) open window bearing noisy cafe downstairs til 0100 am and awaken by noisy street at 0600am or (b) Close the window, turn on the extracting fan but withstand bathroom light or (c) get suffocaited with all things closed (6) Water pressure low, tot water not hot (7) Stair lights are broken. I lived on 3rd floor. Only working automatic light was at the ground floor. Get ready for your flashlight when climbing the stairs. I encountered other people also got irriated about that. One time, an old couple about 70 year old without flashlight almost fell off from the stairs! (8) The wifi allows one device (9) One socket to charge

Basic accommodations, pretty much as one might expect in Paris at this price point. Street noise was apparent but tolerable. Shared toilet is tiny... even for Paris. I'm 6'3" & 250 lbs, tight fit, to say the least. The fact one has to traverse a spiral staircase to get to the toilet is a bit unnerving (especially in the middle of the night).

It was a cute boho spot. 30 Stairs with no lift. Major problem is they Locked the front door and You can’t exit without a key! Fire hazard! I had to leave at 6 am and checked the night before with the guy and he said just leave the key in the room. So I couldn’t get out the front door to the street and had to climb another 30 stairs(I’m 65) to get the room key to let me out of the hotel. Someone needs to call the Paris fire marshal or their equivalent.

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel de Nesle! Each room is decorated in a beautifully unique style. It felt very textured and genuine and warm—almost like staying in someone's home. The staff was so kind and helpful (staying up extra late to meet me, helping me find things, suggesting restaurants for dinner), and you can't beat being in walking distance to the Seine and the Louvre. I hope I can stay here again one day!

The Hotel is a great price for a super location and an stay that should be expected for that combination. If you are used to large rooms, elevators, and luxury - this is not a good match. If however, you want a space that is simple, provides the basics, and you respect that older building in Paris have narrow staircases, shared bathrooms and tiny rooms, then you will be happy here. I brought my eldest to Paris for a graduation trip. As a young adult she will mostly find herself in hostels or hotels such as this one as a young traveler, so it provided me the opportunity to expose to her that she can travel, find a safe place to sleep, and what she can expect when she choses well. The hotel is charming with the murals in each room, the gentlemen who checked us in and out was very friendly and welcoming. The only things to know is there can be a lot of noise from the street, but that isn't the fault of the hotel. The location is walking distance to several metro stops, right in the Latin Quarter, so I think we made a great choice. We still had the privacy of a room with twin beds and a single, though narrow shower. If you go in with a reasonable expectation you will be delighted.

Very noisy at night and early morning.

Great location in the 6th arrondissement near many eateries, the metro and walking distance to sites. The hotel is dated but we got the top room with private full bathroom. 5 floor walk up the spiral staircase...try not to lean on the rails... Apparently each floor has a toilet near the window.

This is an amazing hotel which offers excellent comfort for the lowest price in the neigborhood. Absolutely beautiful garden, fascinating decor in the reception, and my room was a work of art with painted walls.

Great location! Hotel has character with great staff! We stayed in a fifth floor room with no elevator! A little tiring but we limited our trips up and down! The staff offered to carry our bags upstairs! Room was big with small bathroom. Location was excellent with lots of cafés shops and restaurants!

Eenvoudig hotel, wel vlakbij centrum en metro. Geen toilet in de kamer. Alleen op de gang. Oud huis. Met trap, geen lift.
