The motel is basic, no frills, but ideally located. Clean, tidy, quiet. Manager and staff helpful.

Utensils in the room were EXTREMELY bare, just a single teaspoon with two small mugs, and no bowls or plates! And it was almost impossible to fill the kettle from the tap, as it didn't fit underneath. And NO shampoo, or face washers! When I rang at 7:30pm asking for a bowl and dessert spoon to be left in my room, there was no answer, so I left a message requesting this. When I rang back on their mobile (the number is only available on a sign on the reception door) before 9pm to check if they had heard my message, they said my request was impossible, because reception had closed, and they were SO sorry about that. But they really didn't sound at all sorry! It was infuriating, as it looks as if they live on site and couldn't be bothered walking 20 metres to leave a bowl and spoon in my room! Gr!

Great Rooms, the bathrooms are a little dated but a great place to stay when visiting Canberra.
