I had a great stay for a week's holiday at this motel, excellent value and friendly owners. It's a compact, older style motel and has been renovated with modern updates to the rooms and is very well maintained. It's dog-friendly and a short walk from an off-lead dog beach that has a swimming hole that's great for kids and dogs (NOTE: You have to contact the motel after booking to request a dog-friendly room - not all rooms are dog-friendly, also no dogs in the pool area unfortunately, so holidaying on my own I couldn't make much use of that, though the pool is lovely with some shaded areas). It's also close walking distance to a service station, mini-supermarket, bakery, cafes, restaurants, and a medical centre. I recommend a visit to the Pastry Lab nearby in Caloundra for great coffee and pastries and a nice walk along the boardwalk. Also Nick's Pizza and Love You Long Thai (BYO) in Dicky Beach nearby. Note, there's no kitchenette, just a microwave, kettle, and bar fridge, so other than mugs, glassware, and teaspoons, there's not much crockery, cutlery, no kitchen knives, etc., so BYO if you need that stuff.
