Lovely canal view room. Excellent facilities and very clean. The only downside is the buffet breakfast, due to limited choice and the toast being pre made so is sat there going cold.

The only fault is the bathroom. Some still have bath's which is a bit difficult at 61. I did manage to get in but then found the soap dispenser is out of reach! Also there are no towel rails or hooks. The toilet seems too low down. However while checking out i was informed i could request a shower room next visit. Happy Days!! Everything else is 100% !!

The Mill was a friendly hotel. The food was great and quality of real ales was excellent. Would recommend this for a stay.

Good staff, good facilities, good location

Our first room was dated, had holes in the net curtains and stains on the carpet which for the price wasn’t acceptable. The pillows felt like sleeping on rocks we complained and we were moved to a more upgraded room. The new room was nicer bed comfy and pillows better. On a plus the staff were all lovely very helpful. We didn’t eat dinner there but the breakfast was nice they had gluten free choices too.

Very friendly staff, both at reception and in restaurant. Put on breakfast earlier for those us taking part in Chester marathon on the Sunday, which was very helpful. Great pool and jacuzzi.

1st time stay here for one night. Room ok clean but dated. Overlooking the canal.Large comfy bed quiet outside. Rooms not soundproof. Had a drink in the bar which was reasonably priced and a nice area. Staff very pleasant. We used the swimming pool when we arrived which was quite a large pool. Only issue pool towel given was very thin and i struggled to dry myself properly. Hotel a very short walk into main shopping area/ bars etc. Breakfast good choice of items. Parking £12 from check in till next day midday only ( not full 24hrs). Would i stay again- probably yes

Stayed here twice now, breakfast very good, rooms good size,, staff helpful and polite. Only one thing mattress too hard for us.

Hotel is in a great location, facilities are all very good. It has a very nice bar with large TV screens and comfortable seating, the breakfast which was included is buffet style and of a good standard. The only thing that lets it down is the quality of the mattress and the awful pillows they seem to use on both sides of the hotel. We asked to move after the first night as the bed & pillows in our room was shocking, to be fair they moved us across to the newer side into one of the upgraded rooms with no fuss and it was a lot better but for a fairly high end hotel you would expect the beds / mattresses and pillows to be of a lot better quality even in the newer side. Reception staff are nice and friendly and it’s a 5 min walk to the centre where the bars and restaurants all are.

Clean, quiet room and comfortable mattress. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated within easy walking of Chester with all it's shops and eateries. Easy driving to local sites of interest, including Ness Botanical Gardens, nature reserves and historical sites. A great base for exploring the surrounding area. Hotel restaurant is fine for a more relaxed bite to eat. Spa service and experience (massage) was very good. Excellent buffet breakfast!!! Good value for money. I would definitely visit again!

This hotel is close to the train station and to the Chester city center. It's clean.The staff is very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed our stay there. We would stay there again.There are good amenities, good walking areas next to the hotel, and places to exercise.
