Good service

This hotel was a mixed bag. The halls reeked of weed and then the room reeked of cigarettes. The bed sheet had a rip in it, we were next to a big laundry room with tremendously loud doors and machinery and I had to kill one cockroach. But on the plus side, the staff was responsive and helpful, the beds were soft, the water pressure was good and the pool was very nice.

Well, this was the least expensive hotel near where we wanted to be (on the beach in Ocean Grove). It's an old Howard Johnsons. It wasn't horrible. It's old, but the rooms were clean (minus the cigarette butts outside of our room) we liked the sliding door out to a little patio (with an uncomfortable bench). Id say we were "glamping". Bring your amenities - fridge and microwave in room - not great soap/shampoo - bring your own - towels were old but clean- even bring some folding chairs if you want to hang outside. There's a nice big pool. Our room looked over the grass which was ok - could hear the car wash all day - The Front desk person Maddie, was lovely and so nice! Everyone was very nice there. The breakfast was slim - coffee, cereal, bagels and toast, but enough to get your day going without having to go out. There's an Aldi across the street. We were just 10 min from the beach! It wasn't bad. We just stayed 2 nights. I wouldn't want to stay for a long trip.

I have nothing to say about this motel. The gentleman at check in was very nice, however the entire place REEKED of marijuana. Our door did not shut correctly, there were burn holes in the sheets as well as the curtains. Reverse shady people roaming around the property. My sister and I did not feel safe. This property was rated at a 7.8. I use Expedia all the time. This is the worst property I've ever seen. You're also zip ties on the door across the way, and a very heated conversation going on there. Don't know what the zip ties mean but when I looked it up it was something about sex trafficking. I am not saying that sex trafficking was going on in the hotel but something was. No ice in the ice machine. It was horrible. I'm very disappointed in this property. It was an old Howard Johnson's that was converted to this place. I think it was probably flooded at some time.

We did not appreciate the smoke/musty smell.

This is a $50 motel charging $250. It’s blatantly obvious why the photos are dimly lit now. I thought it looked ok from the pictures but it is so run down. The towels had stains, the bed had stains. They have never heard of bleach at this place. The non smoking room reeked of smoke. The curtains looked like they were from the 70’s and they were dirty. The pillow was lumpy. The hallway is dirty and dingy and the drop ceilings were all stained and falling apart. You should be ashamed to charge $250 for this property. We just checked out immediately after parking there for 4-5 hours and rented a different hotel. We didn’t ask for a refund since we basically used it as a $250 parking spot while we ubered to a concert down the street and other reviews said they don’t give refunds. We just wanted to get out of there. Probably the worst or second worst motel I’ve experienced.

An old HoJos! The property is old but clean. Bed comfy and shower had plenty of hot water. Room spacious and balcony much appreciated. Sad I didn't have time to get into the pool; it looked clean and refreshing. Property had landscapers there as we were checking out; outside areas were tidy as well. No elevator, so ask for ground floor if you have mobility issues.

Dirty, broken furniture. TV didn’t work. Bathroom was disgusting. Linens were stained. I do not know how they got the rating they did. Very misleading, will never stay there again.

Madeline and the Asian woman were the best to deal with

Check in was easy, woman at the front desk was very nice. We didn’t expect much due to other reviews, but needed a room for the night. Like other reviews upon entering the room you’re hit with an old cigarette smell, bed was ehh, bathroom had bare wood showing on the sink, burn holes in the curtains. It got the job done when needing a room for the night, wasn’t willing to pay 500 plus dollars in Asbury Park.

Staff was beyond helpful but there were holes in the bedding and the curtains- very limited options for breakfast- no problem with our stay just wanted a bit more for 250 per night about 7 miles from the beach

The room was comfortable and location was convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was big and hotel was very quiet. Pool area was nice.

Dated property, room renovated, comfortable bed, great pool, grounds well landscaped, hallways drabby

Me and my husband stayed here overnight and it was a step up from a regular on the strip motel. The room was clean, with a renovated floor (no carpet!), and a clean bed. The bathroom was also clean. There was a fridge and a microwave, but no iron or ironing board or hair dryer, which again, we didn't need, but it's worth noting for a review. The lobby was welcoming and bright, the woman at the front desk was so pleasant and happy. The pool area was nicer than a typical motel, gated, with a full sized (clean) pool with a ton of lounge chairs. It was fine for what we needed.

I was so excited to stay here because reviews were pretty good and it was a decent price. Unfortunately the room was very dirty. There was a hole in the couch as well as very noticeable stains that just made it feel dirty. There was A cigarette burn in my pillow. There were brown liquid streaks coming from the lights on the wall. The outlets didn’t hold the chargers. Everything just looked dirty making you also feel dirty. Best part was the pool 10/10 pool. Both ladies at the front desk was nice. Check in and out was easy. Just not the cleanest stay!
