We arrived at the Merlin rooms about 2:30 in the afternoon. After ringing the doorbell we were greeted by I lovely young lady. She escorted us to our room on the 2nd floor via a very antique but fully functional elevator. We enjoyed a great afternoon in Cagliari and the stay in our room was very nice other than it was very noidy. It is located opposite the side entrance of the Cagliari main railway station. The room was clean, comfortable and with air conditioning. I would recommend Marlin Rooms to anybody wishing to stay in Cagliari or who have flights from the nearby Elmas Airport if they do not mind the noise from the traffic as Alas, the room we stayed in on the 2nd floor was on the Via Roma side of the building. As the windows were not double glazed, the noise from the traffic did not make for a good nights sleep. Sadly we for this reason only not stay again.

Hotellet var beläget väldigt centralt vilket var trevligt men det fanns svartmögel i badrummet. Vi påpekade detta för personalen och de skulle kolla på ett nytt rum till oss men de återkom aldrig, det fanns heller ingen på plats att prata med. Frukosten som står att det ingår skulle jag inte kalla för frukost, det var en korg med kakor, muffins och croissanter (inplastade från butik) och nutella och marmelad som pålägg. Kunde fått högre betyg för var ett fint rum och bra läge men pga svartmögel i badrummet och ignoransen ang problemet från personalen så skulle jag inte rekommendera detta boende. Renligheten är inte den bästa.

The property is well mainteined. The room was clean with enough space considering it is located in an old Building. It has a little balony with 2 shairs and a table, looking at the interior od the Building. The Hotel have a little Common área with coffee and snacks. The only problem is that there is no advertising of any kind in the outside so you dont know where is it.

Het bed was slecht. Het bed heeft een kuil waardoor wij steeds naar midden viel. We hebben nachts het matras omgedraaid en een deken onder gelegd.

Erstmla muss man sagen dass die Marlin Rooms kein Hotel sind. Dazu kommt dass es weder das in der Beschreibubg erwöhnte Restaurant noch eine Lounge, geschweige denn eine REzeption gibt. Frühstück war in unserer Buchung inbegriffen aber es hab nur in plastik eingeschweisste Süsspeisen (?). Man wartet vor der Tür eines Wohnhauses bis jemand von "Marlin Rooms" kommt und einen hineinlässt. Leider ging die grosse Balkontüre in zwei unserer Zimmer direkt auf die Hauptstrasse und konnten nicht richtig verschlossen werden (Holz/alt). Ein Zimmer hatte die Fenster in den Innenhof was leider auch nicht besser war, denn hier ziehen alle Gerüche aus den Küchen der Hausbewohner durch. Insgesamt leider überhaupt nicht wie beworben und eine grosse Enttäuschung für den Preis (110EUR pro Zimmer/ Nacht)

Buon bed and breakfast di fronte alla stazione dei treni, vicinissimo al centro di Cagliari, situato al secondo piano di un elegante edificio Consigliato per la posizione strategica e la gentilezza dei gestori. La camera, ampia e pulita, è curata e dotata di tutti i comfort, compreso televisore, minifrigo e climatizzatore. Il bagno ha una doccia molto grande. Il letto è comodo e si riposa bene. Nell’area comune vi sono un frigorifero, il microonde, la macchina per il caffè e il bollitore elettrico. In stanza ogni giorno forniscono biscotti, snack, acqua e succhi di frutta.

I notice some mold in the bathroom shower.

Estuvimos una semana. La ubicación es buena en pleno centro de la ciudad. Ideal para caminar, autobuses y trenes. Las instalaciones son básicas pero todo muy cuidado. El desayuno es sencillo, un poco de bollería y pan que dejan en la habitación el día anterior debido al Covid, pero suficiente. Destacar la limpieza, amabilidad y excelente atención de todo el personal así como el cuidado en los detalles y servicios que facilitan la estación (ejemplo, sombrillas para la playa, botellas de agua, etc). La relación calidad / precio es muy buena y recomendable.

Very good service. Helped with the luggage all the way from the car. The staff asked us everyday about our stay and if they could do something for us. I recommend this place.

Everything is ok for an effective stop in Cagliari, taking advantage of being close to the train station, and thus to the airport. The room was clean and well equipped. The bathroom was clean. Courtesy set was under average

Zentral aber ruhig gelegene kleine Pension mit sehr guter Ausstattung und freundlichem Personal. Der Eingangsbereich des Altbaus erweckt zunächst keinen ansprechenden Eindruck und im antiquierten Fahrstuhl fühlt man sich in die 50er Jahre zurück versetzt. Die Zimmer sind aber wie abgebildet sehr gut und ansprechend ausgestattet. Idealer Ausgangspunkt zur Stadtbesichtigung mit vielen Restaurants und Cafés in der näheren Umgebung. Bahnhof und Bushaltestellen sind gegenüber und auch der Yacht-/Fährhafen ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt.

Amazing location, super clean and in good condition, very pleasant staff. Would stay there again. Breakfast is very symbolic though.

Sergei went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. From our early check in to suggestions on restaurants, sights and the bus/train schedules. The unit is a classic downtown Cagliari flat with marble stairs and a beautiful wood paneled elevator. The building is a bit faded and aged, but a fantastic location for exploring the downtown area. Breakfast is standard continental with an espresso machine. There’s a balcony off the breakfast area facing the inner courtyard. Our large comfortable high-ceilinged room faced Via Roma but noise wasn’t a problem with the window closed. Small balcony off the room shared with the adjoining room. Good air conditioning. Easy walking distance from the port entrance (650 meters) or the train Station (literally across the street). Not a glamorous property but the place is comfortable, friendly and affordable.
