El hotel es viejo pero le da un toque mágico, la ubicación al principio da miedo por los inmigrantes, pero al final resulta estratégica pues caminando llegas al bus y a la estación de tren. Personal muy amable, sontiente, servicial. Recomendado

A great little hotel to explore Bergamo from - excellent choice & ticked all my boxes! Staff were lovely & gave me a quiet room, as requested. Location is good, 15 minutes on foot from train & bus stations and same to the centre of the lower city. I bought a 24 hour city transit pass (that also takes you to & from the airport - unheard of in many countries) to get up to the beautiful Citta Alta. It costs €4.90 & includes the 2 funiculars, a great bargain, particularly in 38C when climbing the hills loses its appeal. The breakfast is excellent and the rooms, more traditional in design and not brand new but well maintained, are cozy and comfortable. Definitely return!!

Bra frukostutbud. Promenadavstånd till centrum och till stor livsmedelsbutik. Biluthyrning fanns i samma kvarter. Nära till flygplatsen.

Vi var positivt overrasket og veldig fornøyde med vårt fire netters opphold på hotellet. Det er holdt i gammel, sjarmerende stil med en stor lobby og chesterfieldmøbler i en stor lobby. Frokostsalen i tilknytning til lobbyen, gav lys og romfølelse. Og mye stillere enn på moderne hoteller med bare harde overflater. Utmerket frokost og personale som var flinke å fylle på hele tide. Kunne ønsket mer grove brødvarer, men noen valg hadde vi. Veldig godt renhold og daglig stell på rommet. Sengene var harde, men på forespørsel fikk jeg en myk overmadrass som gjorde det mye bedre. Beliggenhet ca. 15 minutters spasertur fra Citta Bassa, altså den nyere delen av byen. Gode bussforbidelser og mange restauranter og kafeer i grei gangavstand for de fleste.

Better than expected, good staff, a bit worn in many places but still very servicable - probably quite plush in an earlier time. Brilliant breakfast makes it a winner.

Greeted and treated well by staff. All questions answered and the room was comfortable.

The receptionist at night was pretty rude. Due to me not willing to leave my passport and come back after some time to pick it up, so he can check me in. I understand it is a normal practice, but due to my personal circumstances I can never leave my passport unattended. He didn’t consider my wish, so I had to persuade him to make it now. Secondly, after I dropped my bags at midnight I went for a walk with my friend. I have notified him that i will be back. When I came back at 2 am, we rang the door and he opened the door. He was stating that our behavior is unnaceptable due to coming that late. His vibe felt pretty passive agressive. I believe he was asleep and I woke him up in a bad mood. Even though check in time is until 2:30 am. I apologized but looked like he wasn’t willing to accept it. Which was quite frustrating. Apart from this situation everything else was great and worth the money.

Big spacious room, friendly staff and great amenities

I've stayed several times before: it's a big hotel but with character. It's vintage 1970s (I should say):dated but well-kept, and full of references to Garibaldi. The name relates to the 'Thousand' who set out with the General to unify Italy in the 19th Century (Bergamo claims that they came from there). There are restaurants 15 minutes walk away. The breakfast - included - is good and very varied, and the staff are friendly. And it has its own free car-park: I've used it in the past. 24-hour reception has been a life-saver for me: one time my flight was badly delayed and I had to walk from the airport (it took me an hour), arriving at 2 am. I got in with no trouble, and collapsed in my bath (yes, the rooms have small baths!) For the price, it's astonishing value.

La habitación se encontraba muy limpia, el desayuno excelente con varias opciones, el personal excelente muy amables y siempre con buena actitud. El hotel se encuentra muy cerca de la estación del tren y buses.

The staff were amazing easy to check in specially if u speak English I came to visit Milan and Rome and stayed in this hotel in bergamo for a night amazing 100% I would recommend it
