Friendly staff, delicious food and great location. Hotel is a little run down but good value for money.

Staff were all excellent and very welcoming. Food esp the breakfast was superb. Room was far to hot - had to have all windows open and radiators off - can not be good for the enviroment! Found a few (10 ish) clothes moths in the room, so had to hot wash all clothes on return home. This was reported and I would like feedback on the actions of the hotel

Really nice hotel with incredibly friendly staff who work hard under a lot of pressure. Room was beautiful, shame the hotel closes down so early at night.

Very old building, lovingly maintained, with very modern rooms, best of both worlds. All the staff are extremely freindly and professional, the food is exceptional, great stay.

Amazing place,fabulous staff,great food immaculate room.

This is the 3 rd time we have stayed at the Wild Boar and we decided to Upgrade our room this time . Unfortunately the shower had not be cleaned and had cobwebs hanging from It clearly Indicating it had not been cleaned throughly for some time . All staff were friendly and the meals are fantastic unfortunately the standard of cleanliness of the shower somewhat tarnished the stay as the room upgrade was significantly more expensive than the standard rooms.

An excellent quiet setting, yet close to Bowness and Windermere. Excellent Customer service throughout by the staff. Food excellent quality.

Really nice little inn, service was good. The extra charges I thought were a bit overpriced. £30 per day per dog was £120 for us but the worst charge was the £15 per day for parking. There is no option as it’s quite out of the way and there is other option. It goes as a 5 star - not sure about that. We had a double bed which is really small maybe we are used to a bigger bed, so was not that comfortable and there was mould in the shower, which is an easy fix.
