This was a great stay for our family. Two adults and 3 kids (two teens and a preteen) fit comfortably in one of the larger rooms. The rooms were simple, but clean and a great base for exploring the Lake District. Staff was very friendly and Breakfast was wonderful!

I'd consider this hotel for last-minute bookings or budget-friendly options, but be aware that the rooms may not match the pictures. Unfortunately, our room had stained bed sheets, noticeable cobwebs, and visible signs of spiders in various corners. My daughter was frightened by the spiders and refused to sleep in her bed. I had to remove them myself, which was unpleasant. Additionally, room service isn't available 24/7, closing around 10 PM, so assistance isn't an option late at night. It is 20 somthing minutes drive by car from lake district bational park so if you have children you would consider taking a closer accomodation, I booked two nights but checked out after the first night.

Nice, clean and quiet property. The best part was the breakfast. We were surprised to see that everything was made to order and not a typically buffet morning breakfast. And all of it tasted really good.

It is an Inn/pub with dirty carpets and sticky tables in the dinning area. The food is nothing to write home about and although generous it is tasteless. The rooms are cramped with views to the car park. The room cleaning was good with a clean toilet but the carpets and other surfaces require attention. Not in the best part of town and not somewhere you want to explore. We had some money off since last minute, it really is not worth the full price.

The room was clean , modern , ground floor not having to take luggage up steps. The bar had good mix of beers. The food was excellent. Would highly recommend

Was a lovely room and food was decent, not much options for gluten free, but was okay. If you intend on using the bar be mindful if your are too loud laughing you will be told to hush :( x

Overall a great stay and we'll go again given the opportunity, even if the shower was a bit tricky. Really friendly staff, evening dinner and breakfast delicious with big portions, even a small portion of the Cumbrian kept us going the whole day.

Lovely stay in a warm modern room with all amenities. Friendly staff from cleaners to bar staff. Lovely meals and breakfast all made to order.

Great one night stay. Super friendly staff and fantastic Cumbrian breakfast. Room clean and well appointed

No hot water for shower. When staff was informed, they said they'll fix it, although this only benefit the next guest. No offer of hot shower elsewhere or reduction to bill etc. Disapointing.

Staff were friendly, room had clean towels and bed neatly made. Breakfast was excellent with options to choose. We really enjoyed our stay!!
