The hotel is ok. Smart, but feels a little tired. The main issue is the Spa - you pay more per night for access to the normal spa, or £60 per person per day. I've been in 10 year old council run swimming baths that are better. If you want access to the full spa, it's an additional £120 per person, per day. Have they made the normal spa really bad to encourage you to upgrade? It is not worth it.

Work retreat organised a few months ago.. Absolutely flawless check in, staff went out of their way to make our stay fun and memorable. Beautifully renovated with old and new features. The spa area was so refreshing. Would highly recommend booking the suites as really good value for money as all extras including spa access are included. You also get a private living space including an outdoor shared hydrotherapy pool which is great for a large group or family.

Nice stay, couple of the spa facilities didn’t work and it would have been nice to have the spa fires on. Food was really nice and bed was comfy.

I booked Sopwell as a treat for my son and new daughter in law who hot married two weeks ago, they thoroughly enjoyed their honeymoon there and also the food they told me was amazing

Absolutely lovely stay for my partners birthday. Lovely, friendly staff, great food (I am vegan and plenty of options), amazing spa where my partner had the best massage he's ever had!

Excellent, varied breakfast with fresh fruit varieties and many cereal choices. rooms always thoroughly cleaned with fresh bedding etc. daily over a 13 night stay. Most helpful and courteous staff in all areas from front door onwards.

The room was great and cosy, the restaurants, bars and lounge areas are so comfortable and well maintained. The spa is to live for, great swimming pool, sauna and steam, the relaxation room is the best, silent scented and cosy. I’ll definitely come back!

The hotel itself is very pretty and clean however I was slightly dissapointed as I booked this trip for my partners birthday as a suprise and it was the segregation of the two spas that dissapointed us the most. We stayed for 2 nights which was not cheap I do feel as if you are paying a high price for a hotel you should have access to the whole spa as it comes across slightly distasteful and money grabbing in my opinion. We were told that you could upgrade for £125 each just for the day which I also think is quite ridiculous. The second thing was that the hotel tv only had sky live tv no access to films and no smart tv. Once again I do feel as if you are paying a high price the facilities should be tiptop and you should be able to access Netflix etc. I just felt like the price you pay does not match up with the facilities in my opinion.

Amazing place to stay

The hotel and rooms are beautiful!! However the service at breakfast was terrible. Waited over three quarters of an hour just to get a pot of tea, despite numerous requests. This happened on both mornings of our stay and therefore ruined our experience. Attended the Friday BBQ but unfortunately the food was cold. Would have been so much better self service! Despite this staff were very polite and friendly - it was just VERY slow
