Helpful staff. Kitchen complete with all the facilities, and free coffee. Nearest grocery shop less than 100 m, but not easy to walk as the road is sloped. Also need to walk to local restaurant.

It was a great hotel for travelers who love mingle with other visitors. They have a spacious living room to enjoy and relax. The location was about 1.5 km from Hakone Yumoto Station. Prepare for a steep road at last 400 meters before getting to the hotel! Not really a recommended for travelers with suitcase They also had public onsen (men and women). I booked a capsule for 2 persons, and it was quite big for us. A suggestion to management, perhaps. I think the hotel should give a free towel to each visitor. I have never stayed in a hotel that charged for money for a towel (even a dormitory room hotel). As it is always included as toilet amenities.

the staff is very nice, there is kitchen well equipped in case you want to cook. with some tables to eat or also a common area to share a meal, a drink or a book that you can get there and the little area outside with a nice view that was a main point for me to decide to stay here. Plus of course it has an onzen open until 2am. You just need to do some work out to reach the hostel up hill. and you need to pay for a towel if you didnt bring one.

Overall is great, but will prefer if they have restaurant or cafe by themselves.

The hostel has great view, super clean, comfortable, and all the staff was very nice and helpful. You can also experience onsen for free here.
