Car parking poor as even though we paid there was no guarantee of a place if we went out, no allocation. However, the hotel was great.

Pubic hair in bath, really hot over night, single fan didn’t cut it, could do with air con during summer. Didn’t sleep very well as a result. Having to pay for parking was a bind as well. Drinks at the bar were expensive compared to others locally.

Lovely hotel with helpful staff. Clean and convenient for what we wanted. However, we were staying on the top floor and there was no lift. My husband suffers with his knees and it was a little heavy on them having climbing 4 flights of stairs with luggage.

Excellent 1 night stay with a spacious, clean and comfortable room alongside friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed our breakfast.

Location was great. The room was very big and beautifully furnished. Bed was very comfortable.

Overall we found the hotel grotty. The bedroom was dusty in a lot of places & the state of the restaurants seats & dado rails were uncomfortably stained & dirty

Lovely building to look at and staff were amazing and very friendly, a little pricey, room had damp on the wall and the windows were very drafty

In the heart of Richmond perfect for a rest day

Showing some signs of wear but still plenty of evidence of its former glory days, rooms were comfortable and staff efficient. Breakfast choice was good and cooked food tasty. The toaster is a learning challenge! Central location can make parking another challenge but readily available free discs allow a 2 hour Market Place stay for loading/unloading. The castle and riverside are close by, accessed by steep slopes.

We'd opted for a superior room as it was our anniversary. Had a lovely view of the market square. Good sized room and lovely toiletries and tea & coffee facilities (could have done with more herbal tea options, but we'd brought our own just in case.) Nice touch to be able to get fresh milk for drinks, rather than the milk sachets.. Staff friendly and helpful eg looked up the local cinema times for us. Thanks

The hotel was lovely with a great bar and restaurant, and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. It is situated right in the centre of Richmond with easy access to all amenities. My only complaints are that there was a lack of hotel parking, and the room needed a bit of tlc (the ceiling and carpet were worn and one of the windows was cracked and broken so you couldn't open it).

Very much enjoyed my stay here. Travelling alone this time, so wasn’t in one of the larger rooms. It had everything I needed though. Particularly appreciated the friendly staff on reception and the availability of some parking. Would be very happy to stay here again.
