This hotel is nice and quiet, with helpful staff. The restaurant services are okay, but could be better.

The hotel is clean, but recaption staff are not professional. The gym is poor condition with equipment and opens from 10am till 10pm. I reserved the largest sweet and it’s small compared to other hotels. Bed are bad mattress everyday you’ll have back pain and ache. They try to squeeze money on normal services like asking for ice bucket which is free in all the hotels around the world.

I would to thank all the staff. Hotel are rated based on the staff. They definitely make all the different. I can say I didn’t meet a single unkind person. I would always stay in this hotel great service. The place is quite and peaceful and staff are very accommodating.

The hotel is clean and elegant. The only concern was the remoteness from the main street. We had to walk in cold weather at night to search for a restaurant

It is an older hotel, and like many other things it is suffering from the curse of covid 19, it could use a coat of paint and some cosmetic maintenance. Having said that, the staff more than makes up for the building's short comings, they are friendly, courteous and extremely attentive. I would definitely stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Helnan. The staff was extremely attentive, friendly and very helpful. A special shout out goes to the front desk crew who knew us by first name, and the restaurant staff who were ready with our special drink orders every morning and overall very attentive. The hotel is a little dated, but was overall very clean and the rooms are very spacious. Our travel party had two rooms, a corner suite and a classic room. The bedrooms are very large and the beds were very comfortable. The corner suite has two rooms with an additional living area with a sofa (not a sleeper though) and a large terrace which was nice for family gatherings. In terms of the location, if you’re unfamiliar with Cairo, this is not at the heart of the city. In the typical traffic you’re about 30 minutes from the pyramids, over an hour away from downtown Cairo and 1.5 hours away from the airport. It suited our needs as we needed to be in that part of town, and for everything else we used Uber mainly, and a few taxis. Uber was extremely convenient and I’d recommend using it. We also had a car for one night, the hotel provided free parking on site which is nice. One thing to note is that is that the hotel does not provide an airport shuttle. If you’re looking for a shuttle service the airport does have one for a reasonable cost. You have to prearrange it though.

The staff is very efficient, welcoming , and friendly. The room is nice, clean and comfortable where you can find everything you need. As an Expedia Gold Member, I was happy to find the VIP Access benefits available at the hotel and the staff thankfully made sure that I receive all the benefits. My stay at the hotel was really wonderful. Thank you so much to the hotel staff and their hard work.

I was surprised that the property looked so different than on the website. Sometimes front desk are rude and don’t want to answer questions about the town. In addition to cleaning rooms; they don’t really clean the bathrooms at all or change the sheets everyday
