I travel quite a bit, and this was one of the worst hotels I’ve had the displeasure of staying in. The rooms feel almost institutional; similar to a work camp if you’re familiar.
My first room was on the main floor, and I immediately asked for a change because it was filthy, and faced a Tim Hortons drive thru. It was loud in the evening when I checked in, so imagine what 6am would sound like. I moved to a smaller room upstairs. The room stunk like mould and the toilet was running. I asked 2 different workers to get maintenance to look at the toilet - never happened. I stayed for a total of 4 nights, and housekeeping never went in my room once the whole week. I had to keep the bathroom door closed the whole time so the smell and sound didn’t drive me totally crazy. Got tired of having to turn the water supply on and off whenever I used the bathroom.
The only reason I stayed the full 4 nights was due to a conference in town at the time, so all the decent hotels were booked up.
Never again. I would rather sleep in my truck.
