Safe parking, excellent meal in pub, pub was very unique in its decor, really nice environment, attentive staff. Very nicely appointed room, absolutely loved staying here and will be back

The staff were very helpful, especially when they ordered me a taxi. The room had more than enough electrical plugs. A great shower and coffee facilities. The choice at breakfast was very good

Accommodation good. Staff friendly and helpful. Food and menu disappointing. Breakfast overcooked both days.

Running Horse is very quaint and cozy. The dini g options are very nice and the service natural and friendly. My husband and my inlaws stayed for only one night and were very happy with the accommodations. The countryside is beautiful.

To be honest, I did like the place, but I can’t put my finger on why when we arrived to check-in was easy we ordered some food we both had steaks. I asked for mine to be rare it was well done by the time I got my steak it was perfect but my wife had by then finished.. breakfast was okay but I asked for my eggs to be soft specifically I had to send them back by the time I got my breakfast my wife had finished. I found the food not very good and expensive. We both had prawn cocktails, £8.50 there were five prawns.. in the room there was a combination shower but the tap missing off of one of the appliances so you couldn’t use it. I did like the room the furniture and how it was laid out ..but the roomwas very warm but they-provide a lovely fan. The location was wonderful and very convenient for Winchester. I did like the place and I probably would go back and all these comments really are for the Hotel to try and help none of it bothered me that much but I know it would a lot of people. Just my honest opinion.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are really nicely made up from previous stables (they have removed the horses). All the facilities in the room were good and appropriate.

My sister and I loved our stay at The Running Horse. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and good food.

Thanks for looking after me and accomodating my late check in and early check out with breakfast too. A lovely spot and I will be returning.

Lovely design, clean facilities, surprising menu

Great rooms - bar - restaurant - breakfast 10/10

We have stayed here before. The prices seem to have gone up. we did not feel we could justify breakfast as well. It was good last time though. Supper was pleasant although the portions seemed smaller than last time. However our main gripe was the temperature in the room. It was so hot that we got very little sleep. They did provide a dyson fan but that only recirculates the hot air. If summers continue to get hotter, air conditioning will be imperative here.

Ideal location for pre-cruise stopover. Easy access to Winchester plus food menu was imaginative. Breakfast included was plentiful and freshly prepared. Friendly staff and the room was a high standard.

Brilliant place to stay and eat.

This property is near Winchester in the country. It was a very nice surprise after a long day of traveling. The restaurant was very good.

It was good, room a little small but it had everything you wanted in it. Could have done with another chair so that we could both sit but no room for one

Booked for 10 people for a golf tournament and despite some issues with the bookings and rooms, it was resolved very quickly. Rooms and food were excellent. Thanks for a great stay
