Lovely traditional Irish hotel, centrally located to explore Waterford. Staff are wonderful, rooms are well appointed and clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

The hotel is a well preserved slice of history. A landmark in its own right. The restaurant and bar area are recommended. If you’re driving by car take note that there is a long stretch of curb space reserved for buses, not cars and it is blocked off with cones. This makes accessing the hotel difficult and a member of the front desk staff was not pleased that I moved a cone to pull up and unload. During my stay (2 nights) I didn’t see a single bus but was told one had been there. Highly recommend the hotel rethink this. I would not book again based on this major inconvenience.

The hotel is a wonderful, beautiful place with kind and helpful staff. It is a historic and iconic hotel, symbolic of a bygone era where uniqueness mattered. It is the antithesis of the modern approach to hotels being modular, monotonous but functional places to sleep.
