Room was good. Aircon kept it at an acceptable temp (hotel was otherwise on the warm side). Sadly the food let it down. Both of the breakfasts I had were cold. The evening meal (function meal) was also cold. Staff were generally very good, but were let down by breakfast staff on the second day - had to ask twice for poached eggs. A lovely traditional hotel, let down by things which should be very easy to fix. I would return.

Gym area , steam room all dirty

Great hotel, I spent a couple of days with my friend, we found it good as it was very quiet time (just before Xmas) but it was very noisy in the early morning, I could imagine in busier times is worse. Other than that we liked our break and the swimming pool and gym were a plus, we ate at the restaurant for lunch, it was good and dinner at the bar twice, we liked it all, good break!

Nice gesture of a room upgrade - very spacious, clean room. Staff courteous and attentive throughout our stay. Good that the hot breakfast is cooked fresh to order.

Counter service at check in/out was very good. Breakfast bar was nice and staff were friendly. Enjoyed the spa facilities especially the steam room and pool, although the massage was expensive and regular rather than deep tissue. Room not as nice as pictured, smaller, darker and had single beds pushed together when we booked a double. Dinner at the bar was average (burger and fish & chips).

Lovely room at a good price.

Everywhere was very clean and all the facilities were in excellent condition. The Wellness spa was fantastic and very enjoyable. The staff were helpful, professional and friendly and always available to assist. My daughter and I had a great stay.

Super friendly staff that couldn’t do enough for me from the Reception Team to the Room Service Staff. Lovely room, comfy beds, fabulous breakfast. I will definitely be back.

The receptionist was very welcoming and I was fortunate to be upgraded to a spacious room. The room and all the hotel was kept beautifully clean. The gym was well equipped and the swimming pool although small was good. I think my only reservation was the coffee served at breakfast which could have been better. The breakfast itself was good.

Clean room. Lovely helpful reception staff. Lovely grounds and amenities. Steam room temperature needs fixing either no steam or excessive. Breakfast was incredibly disappointing for the fresh cooked food. Eggs benedict, cold, no garnish, watery hollandaise and grey packet sliced ham. Continental buffet bar is good. We would stay again but not order breakfast.

Poor service, no food available, not the hotel it makes out to be.

The spa facilities, the restaurant, the lobby, and the service were fantastic. It was also very easy to access the town centre on foot or by bus.

Very clean room, great temperature already set, comfortable bed, plenty of room, nice touch with the teapot and cups and sauces for tea. Staff were very friendly, especially the lady serving breakfast, she had a huge smile on her face and really made me feel welcome. Delicious breakfast, gorgeous grounds around the hotel, ample parking space. All in all, excellent. Will definitely stay again
