House -keeping service is poor. They even missed emptying the waste basket even if it was full already. They missed replacing the body wash for 2 days so in order to save the hassle of asking them to for some new body wash, I resorted to using the shampoo for both hair wash and body wash. They missed replacing the hot drink and biscuits. Very poor and inconsistent house-keeping service. The neighbourhood is full of bars and pubs so the street can become very nasty at night and maybe even noisy on weekends. Front desk staff tried to be very nice, though.

We were going to an event at Shoreditch town hall which is over the road from the hotel so decided to treat ourselves as it was so convenient. The staff were lovely, nothing too much trouble for them. We had an upgrade, the room was large and the bed was a king size. The bathroom was a good size and modern. The handheld shower could do with better water pressure but not sure that was the fault of the hotel- I also felt it needed a nonslip mat in the shower. There were tea and coffee making facilities, some fruit in a bowl and cold bottled water in the fridge- as well as some milk for tea. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.

Nice place.. breakfast was £58 for 2 people.. on top of £200 for 1 night stay.. with no parking.. lovely place- lovely staff and roof terrace. But £29 for a breakfast.. was a rip off.. and no parking disappointing. Would stay again. But would not buy breakfast at that price

The room was huge, really clean and an amazing shower. The reception area is a bit dated but fine. We didn't make it to the restaurant so can't comment.

This is a fine hotel, its clean and normal. However it does NOT look as fancy as the photos. I spent more money on this as I wanted a bit of luxury at the end of a few weeks trip, but what I got was not much better than the Premier inn. So so disappointed. Even though I was on the 3rd floor, the window was so high up I couldn't look out of it and it felt like a basement. Be warned!!!

Hotel bar / restaurant smelt very bad My bathroom wasn’t the cleanest The hallways are very dark The room I was in had a small window but onto a wall which made the room extremely dark. Despite being the brightest day, the lights were badly needed. Rooftop bar is great. Staff were attentive. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special. Room size was large. If you use Apple laptop, the charger is impossible to fit into a socket. Luckily I had a travel adaptor that sufficed. Air con was good Lift was good. Reception could have been a bit warmer in welcome.

A opulent & Grand Hotel, excellent decor ! Staff were helpful & friendly. Room was great, fab view!! Very clean and modern, facilities in the hotel excellent the swimming pool, sauna & steam room was a brilliant bonus! I Would stay there again !

This hotel is just perfect! Staff were excellent and the room was very clean with a comfy bed. I would definitely recommend and happily go back.

Very friendly and professional staff. I got a free complimentary upgrade as it was my birthday. Room was in immaculate configuration. Very spacious and clean. Spa was decent. Massage was good. Very clean. Staff were always on hand to help. Definitely worth visiting

Lovely hotel and great location as outside the congestion zone. The tube is just 7 mins walk away. Parking is complicated to find instead of using the post code look for St Monica”s Roman Catholic Primary School as the post code takes you to the wrong place.

The staff is very friendly and smiling, whether at the reception, the spa, or the concierge service. The hotel is spacious but outdated and needs renovation, if not a complete overhaul in some areas. The spa is uncomfortable: too hot, poorly lit, and in poor condition. Some water jets do not work, and the tiles on the stairs are coming loose. You don’t stay there for long. The room does not deserve 5 stars. While spacious, the bedding is uncomfortable, a faulty light bulb was not replaced despite being reported, the HDMI support under the TV is broken, and the small sofa is as hard as wood. The decor is austere, and the overall comfort is lacking. Additionally, offering instant coffee and Lipton tea in a hotel of this standing, especially in England, is disappointing. Housekeeping is subpar: a half-empty water bottle from the previous guest was still in the fridge upon arrival, and soap was not replaced after use. Such negligence might be acceptable in a 2 or 3-star hotel but not in a 5-star one. In summary, this hotel is not worth its 5 stars and needs renovation.

Stay was great, but the breakfast was incredibly overpriced!

What a lovely hotel. Perfectly situated for the nightlife of Shoreditch. Very polite and attentive staff and lovely clean comfortable rooms.
