The staff at the front desk is excellent. Very friendly during the check-in. She always smiles and tells me the location of the room. Feel happy to receive a Christmas card from the staff. The cups and the electric kettle are clean. I feel safe when using them. Wifi connection is good and stable. There are three electrical sockets in front of the desk. I can charge my phone and laptop at the same time. However, there is still room for improvement. The room is not clean. There was rubbish under the table when I first entered the room. The bed is nice and comfortable. But the pillow is too flat. The soundproofing is poor. I can hear people living above me, including walking, talking and the sound from the television. It is extremely noisy. I have to wait for almost 2 mins until hot water comes out from the bathtub and water tab. There is no curtain in the bathroom, and water splashes everywhere. Overall, I think the room is not satisfactory. It does not worth 230 pounds for three nights.

Nice stay ,everything was as expected

After a mistake with check in which sent us to an occupied room we eventually got our room. It was a small room with very large furniture so was cramped. Bathroom was down some stairs with a wall mounted toilet which was far too high up the wall. The TV remote didn't work. Got new batteries but still didn't work so gave up! Breakfast was greasy and continental was very basic. Rooms not serviced so we had to get more toilet paper, and tea/coffee. Paid upfront so was shocked to have to pay another £40 for parking and pet. Won't stay there again.

Good size room and clean. Bit of a maze and numerous stairs up and down from entrance to room (but well sign-posted). Staff friendly. Good value apart from the excessive parking fee. Didn't eat at the hotel as lots of other good and better value options nearby. EG Bon Coffee shop and restaurant up the road.

Good location in the Broomhill area of Sheffield with limited parking for £10 per 24 hours. Small room with ensuite and decent shower and comfortable bed Good breakfast. Decor a little tired but very clean

Amazing staff great location

This is a unique hotel with a bit of a disjointed connection of buildings and some different updates in places, but overall a really nice stay and great experience. We had a suite in a portion of the hotel that had been a house, so there were nice stairs and windows that reflected an older time. We had one room with a toilet and a tub, and two bedrooms, each equipped with its own shower. The doors to the rooms were more like those used in office buildings rather than an older home, so they were a bit different from the overall decor and feeling of the suite, but otherwise in working order and clean. The staff is very nice and allowed us to add on breakfast when we paid for parking. The dining room is fun and comfortable, giving off the homelike feeling again. The location is great, near the university and some nice places for good food. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this unique stay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and they went out of their way to ensure that my husband and I had a good stay. I am in a wheelchair so the old building was not ideal for easy navigation, but the staff made every effort to make our stay as comfortable and straightforward as possible.Many thanks.

The hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. For example it was impossible to close the window to our bedroom or stand upright under the shower.

Not enough plug sockets in room. No central heating or air conditioning. Couldnt get in the car park. Clean room. Understaffed at breakfast. Staff very helpful. Excellent on that front. Liked the coffee!

It is a joining-together of four individual properties so a number of steps to make your way around. The breakfast is excellent with a nice choice by very helpful staff.

Good location for our purpose. Friendly staff. No Toilet brush in the room. One bed lamp was a bit loose.

Parking costs £10 a night, didn't have breakfast, but we needed an extension cable for a medical machine. I use a sleep apnea device which has to be plugged in by the bed. We asked staff and they just couldn't help us.

Parking was easy. The welcome was warm and check-in was easy. The room was very clean with blackout curtains and a huge wet room style shower. Breakfast was great. The staff were excellent.

Friendly staff who went out of their way to help. Special thanks to Alison on reception. Lovely breakfast and ideal location for our visit to the neighbouring hospital. Building could do with a bit TLC but didn’t impact upon our stay.
