Terrific rooms, lovely breakfast and helpful staff.

This is a really good option for Unawatuna. It is set above the road (quite busy) and is an oasis of well designed chalets and the main the building. The pool is fantastic. Breakfast is available and we were told by guests that it was very good. The staff are wonderful. Friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spotless. The tuk tuk is always available to get from the front gate - many steps and quite steep if you decide to walk it (I did!). There are two large tortoises and two dogs on site. Only two slight negatives for me - the barking of the dogs (not all the time!) and no hot water tap on the sink - a very good shower though. There are many good restaurants within easy walking distance. We recommend The Bar and Black and White (both across the road and on the beach).

Rigtig dejligt hotel, men en fantastisk udsigt. Skøn pool. Meget venlige ansatte. Ikke velegnet til ældre og handicappede. Meget stejl op/ nedkørsel som er meget glat, når det har regnet. Man kan blive hentet i tuk tuk ved porten.

A hotel with a nice view. Run a little like a homestay with a friendly host with 3 dogs. Main issue, and I'm surprised no one has mentioned it, is that there is a steep climb up the driveway. Taxis will not get up it ! The hotel provides a tuk-tuk shuttle to get bags etc as well as a courtesy lift whenever you press the bell (up to 9pm). Not a place to stay if you have bad knees. I did think the hotel was pricey for what we got. Pool is simple but we loved it . Food was lovely too. However. WiFi is weak in the room.
