Bed was lumpy, room was hot. Great having Netflix though. Bathroom had a bad smell, sink doesn't drain very well, bath had stains, grout could do with cleaning. Beside sink cabinet has an old bottle caked in cobwebs, obviously not cleaned in a long while. Food was lovely.

Stunning location with amazing views and lots of character. We had an outside room (8) which was small but had everything we needed. Really comfy bed and great shower. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff really friendly. Will definitely return 😁

Our go to place when looking for somewhere to stay , as we have done over many years .The staff are welcoming and always helpful if something is needed. The rooms are well furnished and comfortable with views over the fields. There is a relaxed atmosphere in both the bar and restaurant and the food is excellent with plenty of choice.

Just spent 4 nights at the Brown Horse Inn. The staff were great. Food for breakfast and evening meal was excellent particularly the roast on Sunday. Great choice for breakfast. The Inn is very well placed to explore the South Lakes. Would happily recommend.

Five stars aren't enough! My family and I were incredibly impressed. The rooms were spotless, and the staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. With a spacious parking lot and the best food I’ve ever had in the UK, we will definitely be back!

Super friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Incredibly dog-friendly including a 'dog welcome pack' and special 'exterior rooms' so you didn't disturb other guests when taking your dog in and out. Delicious food too.

Lovely stay close to lake Windermere which was an 8 min drive away for us, comfortable beds, clean rooms, lovely breakfast, staff were really friendly and helpful too

We had a fantastic one night stay here. Even in a short visit everything exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, with the roast and breakfast being real highlights. Both were cooked to perfection and clearly had high quality ingredients. Our room was very comfortable, clean and well maintained, with everything we needed. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thank you.

Room was really comfortable but it is noisy until around 11pm when restaurant closes. Food was excellent. Absolutely worth a visit. Staff really friendly.

Staff were brilliant, so kind and helpful. Really went the extra mile. Close proximity to amenties, such as windermere. Food was impeccable, we thoroughly enjoyed. Room very quirky and clean. We were placed next to the log burner for dinner, which staff kindly accomodated. Overall 9/10 Only marked down due to only having full fat milk available for breakfast, which we aren't able to drink so missed out on our coffee. We have rebooked already for summer.
