Most enjoyable stay. Hosts were amazing and very friendly. Evening meal and breakfast top quality. Really enjoyed the tour of the farm, it was the highlight of our holiday. We would highly recommend for a very relaxing stay.

Die Farm liegt fern ab und ist ganz malerisch in die Umgebung eingebettet. Die Ausblicke sind grandios und das Gelände an der Einfahrt und rund um das Hauptgebäude ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Die junge Dame, welche die Guestfarm führte zum Zeitpunkt unseres Aufenthaltes, war sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit/freundlich. Sie und eine Köchin hat das Abendessen am offenen Feuer zubereitet, das gut geschmeckt hat. Andere Farmangestellte habe wir nicht gesehen. Unser Bungalow hat leider einen sehr verwohnten und renovierungsbedürftigen Eindruck gemacht. Die besten Zeiten hatte unser Bungalow leider hinter sich. Das Zimmer und das Bett war sauber. Leider roch es muffig/modrig (wir hatten einige Spinnen und große Falter/Motten im Zimmer) und das Alter der Möbel, der Teppiche, der Vorhänge, der Polster, des Kissen, des Kamins und die Gesamtsubstanz des Gebäudes samt Bad (wir haben die Dusche nicht nutzen wollen) haben diesen Eindruck unterstützt. Wir haben uns im Bungalow leider nicht wohl gefühlt.

Lovely find. Off the beaten track. On our way to a Safari about 6 hours off the Garden route, so only stayed one night. Liked it much that we have booked another night on our return to Capetown!

Amazing stay in Olien cottage. Neels and Anne-Lize are wonderful and generous hosts. Thanks for the braai and watching the rugby match with friends.

We spent 2 very memorable days and nights in Nguni cottage, very private, quiet and secluded. Super comfy bed, even aircon available.The meals were totally delicious, classy farm food!! The owners are warm-hearted and welcoming, Neels´s farm tour is a must! Nice pool surrounded by lovely gardens, comfy sofas and a very cosy dining area. Lovely to have sheep, ostriches, buck etc all around. Serene surroundings to unwind. We can highly recommend and very much hope to go back soon!!

Our hosts Neels and Anne- Lise made us extremely welcome to their lovely home which is in the beautiful setting. Our cottage accommodation was just perfect. We’ll be back …..

Love it. One of the best stay we had in a while. I wish there was internet in the room, but other than that, we loved it.

Es war das 2. Mal, dass ich hier übernachtet habe. Seit dem ersten Mal ist kontinuierlich an dem Objekt gearbeitet worden. Das gemeinsame Dinner mit anderen Gästen hat mir schon beim ersten Besuch sehr gefallen. In meinem Cottage war alles vorhanden, sehr freundliches Personal und ich hatte das Gefühl mehr ein Freund, als ein Gast zu sein. Ich werde bestimmt wiederkommen, wenn es auf meiner Reiseroute liegt.

What a find! If you’re looking for home from home off the beaten track look no further. Wonderful location, the views are to die for. Hosts are warm, helpful, informative, generous and great company. The food runneth over - cordon bleu cuisine par excellence. Dinner was superb. The little touches the hosts have thought of and the attention to detail means Skeiding stands out from the rest. Breakfast could as well be lunch. Cereals, meats (including ostrich salami), cheeses aplenty, juices, homebaked breads, fruits plus your choice of cooked fayre (incl borewors and ostrich bacon). WiFi in main homestead if you book a room there. Good choice great value. Will definitely return

Etwas in die Jahre gekommene aber sehr liebevoll gestaltete Unterkunft in schöner ländlicher Umgebung.

Herzlicher familiärer Empfang. Tolles Abendessen mit Zutaten aus der Region (Kudu-Carpaccio) und gutes Frühstück (sehr reichhaltig mit Straußeneier-Omelette) Interessante Tour mit einem Truck über die Farm. Für Familien mit Kindern perfekt, da in vor den Cottages ein Spielplatz vorhanden ist. Unsere Kinder haben die ganze Zeit mit Carla, dem Hund auf der Farm gespielt

Lodge mit sehr viel Charme abseits des Trubels von Kapstadt

Our 2nd visit to this lovely farm. Lots of little touches in the room makes it extra special, beds are even turned down and a chocolate provided. The food served is wonderful, like going to a 5 star restaurant and you have an amazing view from the dining room to top it off. The farm tour is very informative and you get up close to the Ostrich. If you are visiting this area would highly recommend a stay on this farm. An easy trip from the farm up the Troudaw pass to Barrydale is great, you can reward yourself with an amazing milkshake at Diesel and Cream. Witsand on the coast is also worth a visit.

Tolle Unterkunft mit beeindruckendem Weitblick. Uns hat die Abgeschiedenheit sehr gut gefallen. Leckeres Abendessen. Das gewünschte Fleisch wird vor den Gästen auf einem offenen Grill frisch zubereitet. Unbedingt die Farmtour am Morgen mitmachen!(Straußenfütterung). Gefunden Straußeneier werden später beim Frühstück zu Omelette oder Rührei zubereitet. Die Lodges haben eine schöne überdachte Terrasse mit einer Feuerstelle an der man abends sein eigenes kleines Feuer machen kann. Sehr idyllisch! Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!
