Struttura meravigliosa in stile classico, camera ampia e comoda. Personale gentile e cordiale. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo notato un po’ di trascuratezza: foglie cadute, giardino non curatissimo ma credo sia dovuto alle condizioni meteo precedenti al nostro arrivo. La piscina è ampia e molto bella ma purtroppo non l’abbiamo potuta godere a causa della presenza di numerose zanzare, necessario un antizanzare. Nel complesso siamo stati bene.

I will dream of this beautiful property for the rest of my life! A beautiful, historic villa with many lovely amenities. The pool area is well kept and a great way to spend an afternoon. We appreciated the lovely landscaping and surrounding grounds. The resort is about 2 miles from the walled town of Lucca which gives it a peaceful country feel. We felt very safe here. The rooms were very large for Europe and they were very well appointed with quality antique furniture and decorations. It was like stepping back in time over 200 years and yet with the usual conveniences such as decent WIFI, television, and air conditioning. The room we were given had a separate drawing room from the bedroom with a large bathroom complete with a tub and a bidet. The best part of our 6 day stay was our time spent talking with the owner Biajou (sorry the spelling) and the manager Veronica. They were so kind and helpful to us and really made us feel at home! Gracie to them! Our last day they even served us fresh pizza at the pool! The resort offers breakfast with fresh pastries, fruits and coffee. Fellow tennis players, there are 5 great clay courts less than a mile away at Circolo de tennis Lucca that Veronica can set up a reservation for you. We played there twice and it was perfect! Lucca stole our hearts with its uncrowded streets and restaurants, even in July! There is so much history and beauty in this city and the surrounding area that we truly hope to return one day!

Wir waren 3 Tage Gast. Tolles Restaurant und Pizzeria. Parkmöglichkeiten 1A. Zimmer haben etwas nostalgisches. Empfehlung: das Upgrate zu den größeren Zimmer lohnt sich. In der Nähe tolle Pasticeria, Lokale... Wir werden auf jeden Fall dieses Jahr wieder ein paar Tage hier verbringen. Lucca und Pisa in 10 bis 20 Minuten erreichbar.

This property looked amazing from the website. We were there for only a brief stay, and we arrived on a Sunday which is apparently a slow day in this part of Italy. The one person on staff tried to be helpful but clearly more staff were needed to provide the level of service one expects at a Relais and Chateaux. The decor was very tired and not particularly clean. The outdoor area might be lovely, but it was raining when we arrived so we could not comment on that

Veel traditie in stijlvol hotel. Hoogpolig tapijt en bont behang. Soms wat oud. Maar zeer sfeervol. Binnen paar kilometer sta je in het geweldige Lucca.

Das Hotel hat eine bezaubernde Gartenanlage und liegt nahe Lucca und ist sehr gut mit dem Duto in 5 -8 Minuten zu erreichen. Allerdings ist es in die Jahre gekommen und wirkt Innen doch sehr verstaubt. Das Personal ist sehr höflich. Das Frühstück war gut. Der Pool und die Gartenanlage könnten etwas sauberer sein.

The staff could not have been nicer and they make you feel quite welcome. However, the hotel is old and the room I was in was not that comfortable or clean. I understand this area of Italy is not known for 5 stars Hotels so I guess you get what is available for that location.
