A good resort for a getway from the city crowd ..

It is a pretty average hotel and in many ways way below average. The location is good and the views are breathtaking but the hotel itself is poorly maintained and the staff seem to just go through motions.

Hotel was nice and clean. But there is no air conditioning even in premium rooms. Also every evening they arranged camp fire and played loins music. It was really difficult to sleep when there is no A/C and loins music is playing outside.

Property location is excellent but service and food is not up to the mark

Parakkat's service was absolutely first class with big smiles. They greet each and every guest with superb greeting and a Tika on the forehead. They line up by your car and wish you farewell when you checkout. This is the type of service one expects from a Rp35000 ($500/night) not a sub Rp7000 stay. Kudos to the management and service personnel.

Excellent location and great staff. The rooms were decent compared to the price. The towels and sheets had stains.

The views are amazing! Staff was wonderful and the breakfast buffet wad excellent.

The food in the restaurant was very good. Considering that the hotel is relatively new, there was a lack of outlets in the room to accommodate electric devices. And no chair at the desk without asking for one. Also missing was a hair dryer, unless by special request, which is now a standard feature in any hotel with any aspirations of being of high quality. The views from the room were spectacular. But the garish wall decorations would give you nightmares. But it was very clean and the bed was comfy. It's fairly well located, but a guide/driver is a must to get around.

This is one of the best places to stay in Munnar! The view from the room, the hospitality, Food... everything was awesome! It would have been nicer to have a gym but may be it would come soon.

The style of this hotel is very typical of the area. The views are amazing. We had room 4002 which was a good size, had a balcony with spectacular views over the tea plantations. The decor of the room was not quite the same as any photos on the internet but it was ok. The restaurant was above and had the same views. The menu is very extensive and the kitchen (easy to see) is modern, stainless steel and very clean. Food is excellent. Service in general is excellent. Location is just a short tuc tuc or bus ride outside Munnar and easy. It is away from the main noise of the town.

Amazing location right in front a tea plantation. Not too far from the places of interest in Munnar and around. Particular to note is the warm & smiling staff who made our stay very hospitable. The service however is slow specially in the restaurant during breakfasts & dinners probably because they are short on the number of staff. The evening bonfires added to the experience

The Parakkat Nature Resort was excellent. From the quality of the room, to the restaurant, to the service, it was treat. I would highly recommend it.

It was an amazing experience.Great resort very peaceful and serene envoirnment exceptional service and courteous staff.I surely recommend this and also will visit them again.

Parakkat is a great hotel with friendly staff that is always willing to assist with anything. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. There are some great views of the tea estates. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Munnar area.

The resort had an amazing view of the tea terraces. Rooms were nice and restaurant served great food with a view. Only drawback is that the rooms were not furnished with AC but it was cooling with the ceiling fan nonetheless. The highlight of our stay was the hotel trekking guide Naveen, who brought us out on two evenings and one morning to explore the spice garden and tea plantations completely free of charge. He speaks good English and was able to explain many interesting facts to us. Would recommend to all, and choose Naveen as your guide when staying in Parakkat!

We had to ask for a change of room as the room given to us was not comfortable. We can see the shadows of people walking through corridor through curtains.
