Nice view of the room, we are stay at rm 34. The room is so close to HMS worrior. The shower is excellent, maybe next time i will attemp the rooms provide the bathroom.

This hotel is a little hidden secret , the rooms with a view really are the breakfast amazing fresh and you get so much . I never go anywhere else . Great for shopping cocktails train station and hoovercraft . Once visited you will be back .

Great location for access to local transportation, the Royal Naval Museum and an upscale shopping and eating center. The hotel serves a great breakfast, which is cooked to order. The staff was friendly and had great recommendations for where to eat and how to get around the local area. (Hint, much of what you want is within walking distance.) The room was nice and the bed comfortable. The amenities were nice and room cleaned daily. Unfortunately, we visited during a rare heat wave and our room fasted west, and without air conditioning, it was uncomfortably warm. Lots of capabilities to warm a room. Just a table fan to cool the room (or open the window, which provided relief at night at the expense of hearing noise from rowdy party people, celebrating as they waited for a bus or a cab). So the only ding is the lack of air conditioning. I would imagine this is a lovely and pleasant place to stay much of the year, but on the hot July days, it was a bit too warm to earn ***** Parking is available, get a parking pass when you check in.

My 3 star review is due to the pre planned roadworks directly outside my room on Wickham Street which was water mains related. It was scheduled so the hotel were aware of this and on Tuesday 28th the noise and constant disruption between 10-midnight (when I’d returned to the room for the night) was so loud. Constant generator and banging for 2 hours. I would have thought this major impact should have been notified to guests prior do they had an opportunity to cancel ( my booking was able to be cancelled free of charge) and I would have considered this as it was extremely disruptive and impossible to sleep until it was completed around 12.30am. I feel it made a huge difference to my experience as I had a very busy day following reduced sleep. As it was documented on the council website as a road closure it was a known event and the hotel should have sent an advice to affected guests to let them choose if this was acceptable to them.

Perfect location for shopping train and bus service. We wanted to visit the naval yard museum which was a 2 minute walk away . Breakfast was great rooms cleaned everyday made our stay away for 2 nights Perfect.

I wish I could give more than five stars for the staff. They were fantastic. Location is super.

Ideal location on harbour front overlooking HMS Warrior, Train Station, Bus Station, Gosport Ferry. Easy access to Historic Dockyard and the new Gunwharf Shopping centre. Amazing boutique feel to rooms, great breakfast. Our #1 Pompey hotel.

Bra läge på hotellet alldeles i närhet av järnvägsstationen och det historiska varvsområdet. Det ligger även ett trevligt shoppingcenter med många restauranger alldeles i närheten. Hotellet är dock dock rätt slitet och saknar luftkonditionering.

I arrived exhausted and they were super helpful, explained everything I needed to know and even made me a pot of coffee to take to my room even though the kitchen was closed. Secure parking so I didn't have to worry about my car that was packed ready for the ferry to France early the next morning. And they also served me breakfast earlier than usual so that I could get to the ferry terminal (which is only 5 minutes drive away) on time for the early ferry. All round really kind and helpful, I'll definitely stay again when I'm in Portsmouth.

Beautiful little boutique hotel. I havent had such fluffy hotel towels in a long time! Location couldn't be better for sightseeing and transportation. We arrived on the train and the hotel is right across the street. Taxis and buses readily available. Lots of great shopping in the area. Plenty of choices for dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Full English breakfast was included and very good. I would recommend this hotel for any occasion.

This little hotel was an unexpected gem. It overlooks the harbor and is situated close to a travel terminal, boat, train, bus, cab. A step further away was a new outlet mall with lots restaurants. It is also very close to the entrance to the Royal naval dockyards. We had a clear view of HMS Warrior from our window. The room was large, with a slightly quirky decor. The new en suite bathroom was well thought out. A large part of the hotels charm had to be the ground floor dining room always set for a large breakfast. Behind the bar/Reception desk there was always a very obliging member of staff to greet you and to help you. Shout out to Jeremy and Dave.

Great location, great staff

This was our 2nd stay when visiting Portsmouth for gigs. The hotel team are always very freindly and helpful. The breakfast is always good with good selection of fruits and juices to compliment ( if you actually have room). Free parking on a 1st come basis. All in all a great place to stay when in Pompey!

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Room was a deluxe king harbour view. Room was very spacious and bathroom was beautiful with an excellent shower. Rooms do need attention, the carpet in room 15 was very stained. The grand looking double doors to the bathroom didn’t shut and the lock was broken. The shower was very good. There is no air con, which isn’t great when the sun shines directly at the room for most of the day. It was not a comfortable sleep on a hot night. The bed was comfortable but the bedding and sheets were the absolute worst I’ve ever encountered in any hotel, they were polyester like and felt extremely cheap. This made sleeping on a hot night even worse. The included breakfast was a welcome addition however the produce was of poor quality, such as the catering style sausage and bacon and the extremely salty kippers. The poached eggs however, were exceptionally good. Overall we had a nice two night stay, unfortunately coinciding with the hottest day of the year. This shows why a standard hotel with air con (Premier Inn?) should be the preferred choice to a Boutique Hotel which needs to upgrade.

Easy check in. Arrived nearly 2 hours early. Room and parking was available. Staff helpful. Room clean. Breakfast was excellent - very well cooked and presented. Location perfect for us visiting the dockyard and shopping outlet.

When visiting Portsmouth this properties location in between the Historic Dockyards and Gunwharf Quays meant that for our three day stay we could easily walk to all of the major attraction. The fact it has its own car park was also a plus although you could easily travel there by public transport due its close proximity to the bus and rail stations. The staff were very helpful even finding some Marmite for my breakfast toast. One note it is is located on a busy corner so traffic noise can be a little intrusive, but not to bad.

Excellent hotel! Would stay here again.
