I do not recommend to stay in this hotel if... 1). you cannot speak basic Japanese. The staff cannot speak basic English and they were not even trying to use any translator device to communicate with foreign guests. I had to use limited Japanese to communicate with the staff. 2). you cannot tolerate heat nor noise. I checked in 2 days ago. This is already April which is spring season, but the hotel still had not offered cool function of air conditioning. How stubborn the hotel management is. So I was forced to open the window and use the electric fan (when the staff handed me the fan, they did not even wipe off the dust, so it was very dirty.) By the way, as I had to open the window at night, I was annoyed by the noise of the terrible local motorbike gangs. Yet the location of this hotel is superb ~ opposite to the JR station and also a little shopping mall.

Arsta Inn is a great option for those who needs to stay in Maizuru. Fairly priced and complimented with a decent breakfast in a cosy cafe (albeit small), the experience was justified. Staff were very polite and efficient, offering a true experience of Japanese courtesy. Room experience was typical of business hotels in Japan. Clean, tidy with decent supply of amenities, there was little to be complained with. The building is no doubt a bit old, but the management did its best to furnish the lobby with a modern outlook. It also did well in collaborating with local events and promoted successfully. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I had to choose a smoking room albeit being a non-smoker. I am glad that the room was well-sanitized and the tobacco smell was reduced to a tolerable level. Maybe the only minus matter I found during the stay was its rather thin walls, which was not very soundproof. However, this is a common issue found in Japanese buildings, so it cannot be helped. Overall, a very recommendable place.

夜遅くにチェックインでしたが、従業員の方は丁寧に説明してくださりよかったです。

This hotel is in front of Higashi Maizul station. Easy to access. The staffs are very kind. This breakfast is simple but tasty.

清潔でこじんまりとしたホテルです。 妙に落ち着きます!

レストランがやや狭いので、混む時間は待ち時間あるようでしたが、料理は十分満足できました。

朝食が美味しいのは大変良かったです。一点、部屋によると思いますが、ユニットバスの扉を閉める際、扉が枠に接触して閉め辛く、また、直ぐに開いてしまうため、建付が悪い状態と思いますので一度確認頂くと良いと思います。

深夜寝ている時の物音(他室水回り？機器の動作音？等々)が気になりました。1Fロビー前に耳栓が用意されているので使用推奨します。 朝食会場は狭いですが、宿泊中(2泊)混み合うことはありませんでした。化粧水、剃刀、ブラシ、歯磨き等はロビー前に用意されてます。(剃刀はありえないほど切れ味が悪く、出血しました。)

ビジネスホテルにはよくある話ですが、お風呂のカーテンが臭いましたので、少し残念でした。
