Very wonderful propert between Catania and Taormina with a great location near the Etna park entrances and local wineries. With a great onsite restaurant and small pool it made a great stopover.

Ein tolles Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Pool und tollem Ausblick. Neben an wird gebaut, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Frühstück war gut, aber anstatt 10 verschiedener Kuchen hätte ich mich bei dem Niveau über mehr Brotauswahl gefreut. Es gab 2 verschiedene Sorten „Toastbrot“. Bin aber mehr als satt geworden. Die Lage ist im nirgendwo, aber mit dem Leihwagen ist man recht zugig bei den Highlights. Wer etwas Luxus und Ruhe haben will ist hier bestens aufgehoben.

We visited Donna Carmela for our honeymoon. The staff were very friendly and attentive! The resort was beautiful and relaxing. Nearby locations easy to access and visit for day trips. Very lovely stay overall.

Bel hôtel, cependant les travaux d'extensions ont failli gâter notre séjour. Situation idéale pour aller explorer les pentes de l'Etna.

Beautiful property. Rooms. Breakfast was amazing. The dinner was a little too fine dining for us and it’s a remote hotel so sort of the only option. Wish the pool was heated.

The staff were lovely and the room was very nice; we loved the heated floors in the bathroom and the towels and linen were excellent. It maybe a bit of a stretch to call this a resort when the pool is not heated (and therefore not useable in February). The breakfast was exceptional.

Staff is amazing, you feel everyone is happy to be there. Welcome drinks were amazing and check in well thought through with no standing and waiting; room is great; very eco friendly hotel , amazing views on volcano or sea; lemon trees everywhere; restaurant food and service impeccable ; the only thing we would say is breakfast needs a bit more variety like fruit, veg, potatoes, sausages, oranges, olives etc; plenty of fresh cakes which are delicious

This is a hidden gem of a hotel. The hotel itself is lovely and our bungalow had 2 distinct bedrooms as advertised (not always the case with hotels), a lounge and outside seating area and dining table. As it was at the other end of the complex through the impressive plant nursery, we were provided with our own golf buggy to travel around the hotel grounds, which was an added bonus. The accommodation had its own private plunge pool to complement the hotel pool and the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the fantastic looking menu at the hotel restaurant, as it too nice for young children but we did have lunch at the pool bar and utilised the room service menu, all of which were great. Breakfast is extensive and served in a beautiful garden. We would have loved to have longer at the hotel. Great views of Etna and there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Located conveniently just 40 mins from Catania airport, we would definitely go back. A real find.

The staff at Donna Carmela catered to our every need. The breakfast was amazing with lots to choose from. We had a delicious dinner outside among the gardens. The trees with little sparkling lights and soft music playing in the background make it very special. The rooms were large and very comfortable with all amenities you may need. I would definitely recommend it.
