There is a lot to like about the Slightly Chilled Yellow House. The staff was excellent - very knowledgeable and eager to accommodate any request. Breakfasts were very good and plentiful. The location is great - just 500m to the start of the Adam’s Peak trail. And there are other walks through tea plantations right out the door. The room was generally fine, though felt a bit tired - not run down, just not crisp. It also smelled musty.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful from the minute we arrived until we left. Rooms were great. Bed was comfy and shower was hot and relatively strong, which was much needed after doing Adam’s Peak. We stayed out of season so not many people around but they still provided us with a yummy buffet dinner. Breakfast was simple but fine. Not a lot to choose from in the way of conveniences e.g. snacks, drinks, other necessities but understandable for this time of year. We were taken aback by the thank you card on our departure. Would recommend this accommodation. Just be prepared for stairs! They will take care of your bags though😊

There is not a huge selection if you want to climb Adams Peak. Slightly chilled is close to Adams Peak. Staff are wonderful however the room is very average, as they say you get what you pay for. Sheets were a grey colour no longer white, my husband complained of bed bugs, towels old worn pool towels, no shower curtain so when you had a shower water went all over the bathroom and you had nothing to wipe it up with. Staff were wonderful and made our stay, dinner was nice and breakfast was satisfying after our climb. Good position.

Staff were all very attentive and nice. The facilities were a little aged, but all in all not bad. Very much enjoyed my stay and would suggest to anyone going to Adam’s Peak.

Good location to climb Adam’s peak. Friendly staff and good experience. The room was confortable and we had a beautiful view to Adam’s peak.

Our room had the basic amenities, which was all we needed for staying a few hours before climbing Adam’s Peak. The balcony view was amazing. Exceptional customer service.

Hyggelig og hjælpsom personale. Ok middagsbuffe. Et hotel som er helt ok for at bo i en nat for at bruge til at sove på for at gå op på Adams peak dagen efter.

room was basic, staff are quick and responsive, specially multi-functional waiters, the high light was the dinner, one of the best of our whole trip in Sri Lanka!
