The key to the room was also accessible to the exit door to the outdoor stairs. Which is a concern since everyone else has acces to the same door. When the bar is closed that exit door is the only way accessible. Our room had no microwave and no fridge. The timber Floor is uneven and squeaking when walking upon. Big Cracks on the hallway walls. 2 separate shared bathrooms, 1 on the very end of the hallway and 1 in the middle down the stairs. Not very clean. Parking was also awkward, since the parking spots reserved for people staying at the motel were almost taken every time by people who came there to eat or drink at the bar. Only + it was cheap. So you get what you pay for.

Sand / dust found on the table below the big mirror in the master bedroom. It would be great if bath gel is provided.

We had a good stay. Plenty of parking on the property. The common toilets and showers for the budget options may not suit everyone, but it’s great for the price. The restaurant and pub downstairs offer big meal servings; the only place open until 8:30pm. Lots of coffee places around. Staff are excellent. Pretty old town.

The room was fantastic - clean, quiet, roomy, very comfy bed. All staff super nice and efficient. Dinner at the pub was brilliant. We had a great stay. Well done Team.

Great location. Dinner in the pub was fantastic, and the room was clean and quiet and had everything. Perfect for our first few nights in Tasmania. No need to look for anywhere else…book The Richmond!

The room was okay to mediocre. They need to buy a new carpet and we found the bed difficult to uncomfortable. The pub is a neat place with beer and food. It has dignity and is in a beautiful town.

check in was at the hotel bar, no reception room tidy enough but vacility not best not at all the place i would recommend to anyone

They were very accommodating when they found out I was unable to climb stairs.

Stayed in the stables, lovely spacious room and good bed. Convenient to go downstairs to have a meal at the pub.

We stayed in The Vine room which is not part of the original hotel but in a structure to the side of the hotel. The bathroom was modernised but otherwise it was dated decor. That said, it was clean and fine all round.

Stayed one night in the old Stables and loved it, especially the historic exposed stone walls. Dinner at the hotel was HUGE but absolutely delicious! The Richmond Arms Hotel is the heart of the village 10/10
