Beautiful, cozy place to stay. Highly recommend

Very comfortable stay and excellent food. We enjoyed our evening meal and also the breakfast with a wide choice on the menu and lovely selection of fresh fruit on the buffet.

On a fairly quiet road junction, we did experience some road noise early in the morning. The carpark is rough. Staff made an effort to welcome us, offering fresh milk for the room and help with luggage. Rooms were clean but need some updating especially the TV which you couldn't keep plugged in if you wanted to boil a kettle. You have to move the bedside tables to access the sockets by the bed. The bathroom was well appointed with a modern finish. The shower took some working out and you will get wet switching it on! Breakfast was good, nice to have fresh fruit and cooked to order hot dishes. All that said we think it is overpriced.

Bed was horrible dipped in the middle and uncomfortable. An old dirty sofa stuck in the corner unable to use apart from loading bags. Room was noisy on busy road

Staff were fantastic very friendly and helpful, food was lovely and a lot of it, rooms comfortable bit noisy with the road but we knew that before we booked.

Lovely, breakfast was delicious every day. Service with a smile most days. Very knowledgable and recommended trips and walks that we didn’t know about. Room was super comfortable, rustic and the whole place is so charming.

Staff lovely food excellent location amazing. A wardrobe would have been nice but given the age of the pub rooms are unavoidably on the small side.Would unreservedly recommend staying

Warm welcome with nice touch of fresh milk offered on arrival. Light airy and clean room. Nothing to much trouble for staff.

A great location and lovely rooms. Clearly recently refurbished. I used this as a base for heading into the Mach Comedy Festival over the weekend and the drive in was stunning each day. Lovely staff made the whole experience. I'll absolutely be back when in the area again.

Best part of the stay was breakfast. Nice room Lovely setting. Apart from that disappointing. The room had obviously not been used for a while, the heating was off and the room was like a walk in freezer, the milk cartons were all dried up. For a £££ room its not what one would expect. The shower was nice, bed etc was great. Evening meal was a real let down, a very limited menu, mediocre food @ ridiculous prices, dearer than the Ivy! A real shame as its a lovely place but we will stay elsewhere next time.

Great customer service. The restaurant was good and breakfast next level. Unfortunately the room was incredibly hot and we couldn’t control it and cool it down. The grout in the bathroom needed attention. Having said that we would go back

With exception to the waitress on the last morning who was hopeless, the staff were very friendly and efficient.!First two mornings our waitresses was excellent. Good breakfast portions, well presented and tasty. Only had one evening meal, ok but having to listen to the kitchen staff watching football in the background was poor to say the least. Room was ok but dirty. Carpet not vacuumed and dirty cup marks all over, we had to clean ourselves. The building it’s self needs a dam good clean and some TLC.. In general I would say a long way short of any awards it may have received in the distant past. We ate out 2 of 3 nights to avoid the place.

Absolutely loved our stay. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. Evening meal was absolutely delicious as was breakfast. Room was very nice, clean and comfy too. Would definitely recommend.

Very friendly staff. We had a lovely suite room at the very top of the building. Nice decor in the room. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a nice touch. Good shower. The breakfast was excellent, evening food was just ok.

Lovely little cosy place to stay with a nice restaurant and bar area. We stayed in one of the suites and was very nice and spacious! Would definitely recommend!
