Excellent food, nice environment, very good hotel

Our room (deluxe double) was nice but incredibly hot, as was the weather. It’s an old building & suffers in the heat. Breakfast was very average. We had to ask for croissants. It was apparently first come first served on the buffet table which seemed a bit bizarre. A request to have hollandaise on the side of my eggs Benedict was ignored. Dinner was ok. Staff were helpful. Reception staff get many gold stars for being so helpful & kind re items I carelessly left in the room. Efficient & scrupulously honest. Thankyou. 😊😊😊

16th Century inn with loads of character - I chose it for the chance to stay in a historic half-timbered building. It is right in the centre of town near all the historic sights. Friendly staff. Excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Would happily stay again.

Excellent location, staff and food options. Restaurant in particular very good. Only slight criticism was quality of the bed linen was maybe not reflective of an establishment such as this We did mention as we checked out. But wouldn’t deter us coming again

A beautiful, old hotel with beautiful architecture and wonky stairs. The staff were excellent. The rooms were well equipped, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean, modern and spacious. It is in the centre of the town. Parking is available a little way away but thete is a paying carpark on the doorstep. Dinner was superb, breakfast was delicious.

Great room with lots of drama. Staff helpful and polite. Room clean and comfortable WiFi not good. Great stay and would recommend.

The room wss quiet and very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and courteous and the breakfasts were delicious with lots of choice. The Feathers is in a great location, being on the high street and clise to all the amenities. We parked in the nearby car park. It cost £7 for overnight parking. That is 50p less than parking in the hotel carpark.

Cloe the deputy manager was awesome! We had a medical event & she absolutely owned it! Rang 111 with us, relayed info,organised taxi to ED,showed that extra genuine care by sending us with water and biscuits, made sure the night porter knew we would need access & checked in with us in the morning extending check out without us asking! She did all this with professionalism and respect and led her team to give a seamless friendly & efficient service. Would recommend without hesitation and 5 stars!!
